  • Cable snap at about 0:03. Notice the deceleration followed by immediate acceleration? Use your eyes people.

  • To all idiots blaming the pilot. This is a cable snap most probably, and not the crew forgetting to activate the brake cable because you see the plane decelarating after it got the cable, and it almost stopped at the end so the pilot couldn't take off.

  • @wizz2000 did you mean off?

(not trying to be a douche)

  • What a retard.... A million dollars flushed down the sea cause someone don't know how to take off Shake My Head...

  • @Loopyerest I'd want to see you start/land a jet, let alone rescue yourself because groundcrew forgot to activate the brake-mechanism of the cable... Know what you're seeing before you start judging.

  • Su-33

  • In Soviet Russia, aircraft carrier stop on YOU!

  • @zzztubazzz Fuck you , you yellow bellied long legged mac daddy

  • I bet Obama can come up with another way to blow 80 million in ten seconds.

  • Comment removed

  • MOTHER FUCKER

  • stupid american people

  • @zzztubazzz

This is a Russian Su-33 multirole carrier based fighter.

    Not American.

  • See what i mean stupid ass pilot mother fucker hope he die and all of you too mother fucker

  • "the next thing you fly will have a propeller"

  • burning it is faster...

    burning...

  • It's actually $30 million for the Su-33. *Nerdsnort*

  • is the water okay

  • Not pilot error, i've seen those wires snop a few times, that's why there's more than one.i guess he caught the last one!

  • I could do that in 1 second!

  • "activate brake cable" ??? wtf??? more like the arresting cable snaped....

  • @ilovegoatsecks lol yea, and the pilot failed to rev up the motor. It was a double failure.... well triple if you include the description lol

  • wow now..the last vid i watched said 60 million.. u tryin to pull possum on me or somthin?

  • actually the crew didnt forget cause the plane wouldnt of slowed down that much if the cord wasnt there dumbass the cord snapped

  • OH WHEN I FIRST SAW THE NAME OF THIS VID. I THOUGHT IT MEANT SOMETHIN ELSE

  • Yeah....I bet Kim Kardashian could blow 80 million in ten seconds too

  • @Dirtybird284 80 million? Men?

  • @crash134092 Yes. It's a joke

  • That's why you always go full throttle arrester hook down when landing on an aircraft carrier, incase you miss the cable or it snaps, you can take off again, Amateur !

  • @soucorp You only go full throttle in case you miss the cable. If the cable snaps, you're fucked full throttle or not. And it sounded to me like he was going full throttle, anyway.

  • Thank the lord for zero-zero ejection seats.

  • Cable snapped... happens.. Good ejection!

  • this plane costs 50 million dollars :3 , not 80

  • @514Productions take a better look. this IS a russian aircraft. its a sukhoi su-27. plus the end of the run way/ take off portion of the flight deck banks up like a jump... U.S. air craft carriers havent been designed like that since WW2. (plus the small russian flag on the closer of the two verticle stabilizers is a bit of a give away)

  • It's a 50 million dollar jet..

    fucking idiots.

  • @hellcatdave1

thats some nice wikipedia skills, now learn that wikipedia = full of shit 70% of the times, fucking idiot.

  • how to blow $80 mill in 10 seconds... giving bill gates head

  • funny it was only 7 seconds

  • That pilot ejected like a boss!!!

  • Comment removed

  • ummm...oops!

  • He run out of ship.

  • it is not pilots fault ....its crew's fault...they didn't arrest the jet....

  • @alexini5 Firstly, the pilot didn't catch the arrest cable, his fault. Secondly pilot training clearly states that you burn hard on landing. This means that if you miss the cable, you can go around. This pilot didn't do that and powered down, and as a result, crashed. The crew as far as I can see, did their job perfectly and are not to blame.

  • @viva0la0life It's obvious he was burning hard. He caught something - how do you think he slowed down so fast. Then something snapped, full power he went off.

  • some 1 is lying one video says how to waste 60 mill and this one says 80 mil

  • thats an su flanker 35

  • @k2477456 he's right dude your mistaken.. the f22 JSF, alomg with the migs and sukhois all use the Zvezda K-36DM.. or a derivative of.. i bet you feel like a right idiot now huh?

  • @k2477456 no the martin baker ejection seats have not been used in the 4th generation fighter jets.. both the russians and the american 4th gen jets now use the russian ejector seat..

  • @mentalone1995 touche' old bean.. touche'..

  • Comment removed

  • those are the Russians derp

  • Nothing to do with the brake... Arrester failure occurs (lamest terms cable snaps)... Due to the procedure of full reheat on carrier landings, the thrust of the engines, rolled the SU-33 forward..

Nothing could have gone better for the pilot really.. He did all he could..

  • @gamerbwoi Friendly youtuber-to-youtuber correction, by "lamest terms" I believe you are referring to "layman's terms" :)

  • I'd rather see an $80 million dollar jet get scrapped than a pilot getting killed over it.

  • Peace out lake trout :P

  • Is that an Su-35?

I know that the F-22's we have are amazing planes but man do i love seeing the "teenage" F series jets!

  • @D1vid3By0 This is an SU-33, no vectored thrust im afraid.. F-22 are air superiority fighter jets.. SU33 are air defense..

  • @gamerbwoi

Thanks for the info man, I couldn't get a good look at it in the video. I was also pretty tired when I wrote that message; Raptors and my love for the earlier F series jets have absolutely nothing to do with a Russian plane accident...

  • @D1vid3By0 Its easy, the su33 is only Sukhoi to land on carriers.. I know this from Lock On 2, if your into your plains.. You should get it.. Check my vids to see..

  • People laugh and say FU USA thinking its one of ours, but whos the dumbass now? Its Russia, you ignorant fucks.

  • @fadeproof18

You're even dumber, it's a russian plane flown by the indian navy.

  • dumbasses think US is the onyl country with carriers. its a bloody russian carrier, no US carriers have that kind of flight deck.

  • @Fishfingers232 That is interesting, I just noticed the odd look on the flight deck.

  • you know when you fire a missle thats like 2 thousand dollars or more already

  • The splash under the jet was chuck norris fighting the cracken

  • aaahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhhahahahahahhahahahahahahahaFUCK YOU U.S.A!!!!

  • @thepersonal7 It's not a United States jet fuckwad. The flag is on the right vertical stabiliser. Moron.

  • @thepersonal7 lol it was a russian aircraft

  • thats coming out off u r pay check :D

  • ill bet he has skid marks in his underpants lol

  • anyone else notice the splash under the plane at 0:15

  • The Su-29 actually costs around 2 million to build.

  • @slapshot1343 smart ass

  • it was actually 6 seconds

  • BTW, the second plane isn't being catapulted for take-off. They catapult them off the front where it's sloped-up like a "jump". They don't launch jets from the landing-area. There are no catapults back there. He is making a go-around after missing his landing. You can tell because the arresting hook is lowered. They don't launch with the arresting hook down. Whatever flew into the water might have something to do with why he didn't make a successful landing.

  • This isn't pilot error. He was at full-throttle after hitting the wire. (Which is what he's supposed to do in-case he doesn't catch the wire.) It's very hard to tell exactly what happened because it's such low-resolution. Most-likely the cable broke, or the braking system of the cable failed. The cable system slowed him just enough, that he couldn't take-off again after it failed.

  • Before it was 60 million...now its 80 million. You know what, lets just say that this accident is why America is in debt, hows that?

  • @SummitTwelve We could just say that, except... This is a Russian plane, not an American one.

  • @sydneyACE And how do I know that you know that for certain

  • Comment removed

  • @SummitTwelve I can smell a troll from a mile away, but I'll play anyway. I know it's not a US aircraft because I am VERY familiar with US military aircraft. I was a Crew Chief (Aircraft mechanic) in the US military. The US Navy doesn't use Su-30's. The Su-30 is a Russian-built plane. By the look of the emblem on the tail (hard to see), it appears to be owned by the Indian Navy, who has been buying Su-30s from Russia.

Also, the US doesn't use carriers with a ramp on the front.

  • @sydneyACE That's great...but I'm not a troll asswipe. I geuss your so wound up even a simple question signifies a troll.

  • @SummitTwelve Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I guess my troll-dar is broken. I forgot that not everyone is an aviation-buff. What seems like common-knowlege to me isn't for everyone else. Like I said, sorry if I offended you. Glad I could answer your question though. :)

  • @sydneyACE Well then as a military man you should know that the indian navy operates mig 29's and not the su-30's.. Also the russian carrier that the mig 29's will be stationed on has yet to deliverd to the indian navy, This is obviously old russian footage :)

  • @shatuldurlabhji My personal military experience wouldn't tell me much of anything about foreign military aircraft, except when the're NOT US. I knew for SURE that it wasn't a US aircraft because it's a Sukhoi, and those are made in Russia. I don't think it's a Russian-owned jet however because there are no red stars on-it anywhere. Russian-owned Sukhois have red stars on the tails and wings. I don't see Russian insignia on this one.

  • @sydneyACE go fuck yourself faggot queerboy. LOL

  • @shatuldurlabhji I thought at-first it was Indian, but after further investigation, it apears I was wrong. You're right the Indian navy doesn't fly SU-30s they fly MiG-29s. The Indian AIR FORCE flys SU-30s. I haven't been able to find any pictures of a tail that looks like this one. It apears to have a dark horizontal stripe with a light stripe above-it. It doesn't look like a Russian insignia, but it could be. Do yo have any other ideas as to what insignia that is?

  • @sydneyACE

    >calls troll

    >Still replies anyway

    You're doing it wrong

  • Comment removed

  • @514Productions You're kidding right? This isn't even a good troll. I would say; "Good try troll!" but there's nothing good about it. LOL!

  • @514Productions you must be trolling...

  • the F22 however is 150mil (US) sweet aint it? the price difference

  • Unit cost 1.61 billion (US$30.59 million)[2]

  • 80 mil? comon. Russians know how to make things Work and cheap. This was due to pilot error which CAN happen to anyone, no pilot is 100% safe, though they can always try,

  • i just saw the exact same video and the said 60mil what is the actual price?

  • 80 million ?! c'mon its an SU

  • 80 mirrion dorrar!!!

  • DRUNK RUSSIAN

  • @TheMRBLACKop12 ur russian crap doesnt amuse anyone

  • @Xiia0Sn00pY its a joke communist

  • @TheMRBLACKop12 LOL, i seriously admire you for your stupidity. :) which part of me looks like a communist? HAHA, seriously grow up. Ive said nothing that relates to communism. THANKS :)

  • NEGATIVE although crew could have forget the arrestor wire, its the pilot responsability to stay sharp on his toes be prepared and ready to apply full power a couple seconds after touch down just in case he misses the wire or the crew forget to reset the arrestor system

  • Flanker F doesn't cost 80 million. It's quite a bit less than that.

  • @wizz2000 more like "How to blow 80 million in 8 seconds"

  • pilot has some sharp reflexes with that eject, pro

  • 80 million? rubles I guess...

  • @FLICKtheUSA

No, he lost four planes, one was shot down, one was destroyed in the fire on the deck of the USS Forestal, one crash was caused by an engine failure, the fourth was due to pilot error.

  • Leave the carrier stuff to the experts- Americans

  • @TheDemonofthenite Have you seen some of the U.S. Navy carrier accidents? Carrier work is dangerous and accident prone no matter what country you are.

  • @dimesach Yes i know it was a joke dimesach...

  • @TheDemonofthenite except royal navy is #1...

  • commies are just bad at carrier stuff

  • Duh. Due to lag of jet's spooling up, you land with throttle on in case you have to keep flying. Of course, if you don't arrest the aircraft you get, well, you see what you get.

Gotta be impressed with the Russian's 0-speed, 0-altitude ejection seat, though!

  • @JonkyOnTheSpot Every new ejection seat these days is 0/0... Not that impressive, but definitely nice to have.

  • @JonkyOnTheSpot Well the russians do have the best ejector seat in the world..

  • @JonkyOnTheSpot He caught the wire, but it snapped.

  • @JonkyOnTheSpot if im not mistaken both Russia and the united stated both use basicly the same Martin-Baker ejection seat in their 4th generation fighters

  • @CommonRaven

yeah, and I forgot ... you can get the box set that includes Phil Gramm

  • That jet costs more then the Blackbird?

  • @SCHIZOPHRENlC Probably, the F-22 costs over 160 Million.

  • What dropped in the water after the second failed landing?

  • @Puckgrinder85

The second aircraft is taking off, and not a failed landing. The aircraft is using a catapult to assist take off and the item falling into the sea is the wire that secured the aircraft to the catapault system. When the aircraft leaves the deck, the wire is jettisoned and falls into the sea. There are probably loads of vids on youtube showing how this works, with the F4 Phantom being one of the easiest to see, due to its long front landing gear leg.

  • On landing the pilots go to full throttle incase the arrester gear hasnt caught or failed, so why didnt this plane take off as it was supposed to do, what they train for etc?

  • FAIL! We can all be assured that his head was chopped off that evening.

  • If Chuck Norris was flying that he would have jumped out and stopped it going over the end!

  • i wouldnt give a shit about the plane if i survive ^^

  • i couldnt see very well but its either an SU or a MIG its no i repeat its NOT an US aircraft

  • @dutch5081 Sukhoi Su-27 probably! It's like the tailhook caught but there was no resistance to it stopping, or it didn't catch onto the arresting cables well.

  • not including cost of parachute

  • Or, you can a republican president, and blow 14 trillion in under 8 years!

  • @platinum243125 You realize Obama is the biggest reason the debt is so bad...right? His stimulus bill is at fault for that. He has spent more money than every president before him combined. Get your facts straight before you open your mouth you imbecile

  • @armyaviationproud

clinton created a bubble and Bush over spent 100x

  • @Milleuros People are generally ignorant or stupid, sometimes both. Makes me sad to see a Flanker D take a swim though. I'd rather see a Mikoyan 29K go overboard, it would be less painful lol. Too bad we don't fly Russian airframes! I'd love to see some USAF & Navy flankers ;)

  • Mig 29, Russian Carrier. Idiots.

  • @ImFaceman

    actually that's su33 naval flanker

  • @TheProjektcc I stand corrected. Thanks

  • I like how you people fail to notice that those are Russian planes.

  • @greenjibbles

noway its amrican cuz rusian dont have planes or boat lol.

(just joking. But there surely are people that don't believe that other armies may have carrier based aircraft)

  • An F18 weights between 11 tonnes and 23 tonnes (depends on the load), so it sinks immediately. It's a good thing the pilot managed to eject himself; perhaps today he flies an F22 :) :)

  • Someone finally has a grasp on reality. That plane would sink as soon as it hit the water....

But, he wouldn't be flying an F22. He's navy... The navy doesn't get F22s, maybe he would be in an F35...

    Except that he's Russian... : )

  • @supremeon1

Actually it's a variant of the Su-27, a russian aircraft, on the Admiral Kuznetsov carrier.

And don't forget that the carrier is 43'000 tons, and it doesn't sink. It only depends on the shape of the object.

  • @supremeon1 except it's not an F-18, it's a Russian Sukhoi

  • omfg this happened in 2005 so its obamas fault fucking obama wasting 80 million in hard working american tax dollers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just a joke at all the dumbasses who blame obama for bushes and outhers problems lol....

  • @with33 It's a Russian plane, not US. :-)

  • Just the drop off the deck is enough to kill a pilot.

  • Imagine what you would do if you eject safely and get killed by the carrier. This would be a real screwup.

  • at least its not american tax dollars

  • Hey I'm pretty sure you guys have no clue what you're talking about.....

These Jets will not sink, they were designed to float. It's call Jettison. When there is a fire on a ship, the crew will push the Jets over board and pick them up later.

  • @chklein1771 Fighter jets are designed to fly not float. Look up the Convair F2Y Seadart for why we don't see fighter planes that float.

  • @chklein1771 oh so the jetsons pick up the people after they sink and die right ya and you have a clue? know anything about physics? or do you just claim to know everything?

  • @chklein1771 :DDD

  • YER FIRED.

  • sucks, even if it is an SU-27, (yes im biased lol) but it is a beast of a jet.

  • poor guy

  • That's a bitch. All of you watching this, and thinking that you could've done better than this highly trained pilot, guess again. Think about all the hours you spend at your job, and know that the pilot you just watched crash has spent just as many hours training to land on various surfaces, including this aircraft carrier. And yet it was still too difficult for him. We all screw up at our jobs once in a while, it just sucks more for this guy because of the price tag.

  • @tag7100 he hit the rope that he was supposed to. the one that catches the plane. but something must have malfunctioned with it. so chances are its not even his fault

  • @shane1022 the wire probably snapped or something

  • @ddioppp you can clearly see the plane coming to a stop as it catched the wire, then it starts to accelerate again as if the wire snapped

  • @NaughtyBurrito and?

  • Well there's your problem...

  • Holy Shit!

  • Pilot was forced to SWIM HOME!

  • You mean, 80 million RUBLES! Stinkin' russian junk!

  • Ah Russia....

  • lol this vid should be called how to blow 80mill in 5 seconds aha

  • @sorebum1 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahaha
