I keep hearing rumor's of it re-opening on Fremont street, mind you I heard this from two separate people, but for the meen time these are just rumors?
It looks like they will be reopening it somewhere. I heard the same thing, but can't remember where. It's not the same as being in the Hilton, but at least it will be still there for the fans. Making money was not the issue - the attraction made money (according to a friend who worked in the management there). The problem was agreeing on the contract between the attraction owner and the casino - aka ... a money issue.
Yeah I have a an ex-coworker who used to be a waitress at Quarks and she was pissed when they closed, she said that Hilton wanted to dubble or triple there rent, and yes it just wount be the same as with there old location,
I am just happy I got to see it and experience it a few times before it closed. I think when it opens again, it will be just as popular as before, just a bit more inconvenient to get to.
I guess it all comes down to money in the end. The Hilton used the excuse of it not making money. I think they had someone/something "bigger and better" lined up for the space and used this crap to push The Experience out.
@CEDwyer1969 The Hilton was being a little bitch about it and wouldn't renew their lease. I was talking to a employee right before it closed and he said that Hilton would even allow them to have a job fair for the employees.
So Star Trek the Experience is gone!?

No criticism of your video, but I gotta say that's a rubbish warp core...
I think I could've done better with a few old Christmas lights, a mylar pom-pom, & a fan to make it flutter! :-P
