@rmanrod And you will do to the USA, or at least California and Texas, what you have done to Mexico....Long live the race of the siesta and the fiesta!
@Godzilla52 if you're going to lump them together would be more accurate to call both 'invaders'...there was no glory in their conquest anyway, mainly consisted of wiping out large portions of the populations with smallpox (sometimes deliberately), and of trickery and mass murder...
@SROCeallaigh I think the Spanish would disagree they won some pretty impressive victories against the Inca and Aztecs while outnumbered, it was just a case of a stronger empire conquering weaker nations and expanding its own empire.
@Godzilla52 in terms of the military and technology they were obviously superior, but they were helped out a lot by cheating...without the diseases and lies it probably would have taken at least twice as long to conquer a whole continent
@SROCeallaigh The diseases were incredibly devastating, but they were rarely if ever spread deliberately. Once they caught on, as it were, in the new world, they spread like wildfire and came back again and again for decades. They spread all up and down the Americas, devastating populations who had no genetic barriers. It was certainly a great tragedy, but I think Europeans are sometimes blamed for this disproportionately, as if they could control it, or as if it were a planned act of genocide.
This almost made me want to gauge my eyes out. There was no glory..but death and suffering.

@rmanrod well technically they were conquerors, plus the Native cultures didn't have citizenship laws.

@MyName42 I think it's fair to say it was semi-planned and they were aware of what they were doing
