The terms "banned" and "non-disclosure agreements" are legal constructs that companies have to follow. The individuals are bound by that legal construct as well. In 2003 the federal government conducted prison experiments using RFID technology. They set up all kinds of recievers around the camps and everyone had to wear a bracelet. They had a main terminal that showed wear each inmate was at all times. They told the inmates it was extra money the government had laying around and were trying a new tracking system using radio frequencies. They claimed it was so full of bugs that they removed the system. This was not made pubic.

Well, yeah, but any bar code or digital reader strip does that too. I would assume that people knew that their info is on these things. If you want the convenience of a debit card or check card, there's really not a whole lot you can do about it. It has to carry some level of personal information in it for verification and security purposes. In 2003 the federal government conducted prison experiments using RFID technology. They set up all kinds of recievers around the camps and everyone had to wear a bracelet. They had a main terminal that showed wear each inmate was at all times. They told the inmates it was extra money the government had laying around and were trying a new tracking system using radio frequencies. They claimed it was so full of bugs that they removed the system. This was not made pubic.

Ironically, credit cards and cell phones are already tracking devices....obamacare already stipulates the usage of 'implanting devices' on people by 2013...This is reality...Some think it's science fiction, but it's just that the end is near....IBM backs RFID..It's not going away. It will be a requirement if you want health care. Your employer will be required to make employees have it...It's not fantasy...If businesses don't, they won't get any tax breaks ect...It just a matter of time.

Wow, RFID must not be very safe at all. That's the only reason they'd be so adamant about keeping it quiet. I mean they're obviously afraid that Myth Busters were going to expose their technology for the unsafe, unsecured, information sharing device it is.

Well, yeah, but any bar code or digital reader strip does that too. I would assume that people knew that their info is on these things. If you want the convenience of a debit card or check card, there's really not a whole lot you can do about it. It has to carry some level of personal information in it for verification and security purposes. I realize RFID will hold a lot more info, but unless we band together and demand minimal info, they're going to put whatever they want.
