  • Thank you for posting this. Stumbled across it and had to go bust out the old vinyl, which I hadn't heard in a while. Whatever bluesmen had back in the day that made them special, Hound Dog musta got a double dose.

  • Ahh the memories, have this on vinyl kickin back on a hot summer day with friends smokin herb and drinkin and stinkin.

  • i just found this on here,my first time hearing it,and iam living it.literally.

  • I saw him at Kent State in 1973. Bought that album pictured. I still have it.

  • Sweet Jesus.....thank-you, just plain thank-you!

  • This is the first album recorded by Robert Iglauer and the beginning of alligator records.

    Can't stop listening to this!

  • wow thats one of my taylor's faves, you GOTTA stomp your feet on the fucking planet earth while this plays loud in the air!

  • so so dirty filthy dirty

  • I found this guy late... it was mid 1980's.

  • top shelf. unstppable. the dog rules. absolutely.

  • top shelf.

  • HEY EVERYBODY this album is being released on 180 g vinyl in february

  • @psychedelichobo Damn Right. You don't see classic albums like this get released on vinyl. About Time. People need to know what Hound Dog Taylor and the Houserockers were all about. Underrated Band. The songs still holds up to this day.

  • I bought this albumn on spec in 1976 in Singapore......Elliot Murphy as well......2 gems that have stayed with me for my life.....

  • I love the simplicity and repition of the groove. It's the perfect foundation for the tale of heartache being told. Once played a 12 minute version of this song with a band at a dance hall. Infectous groove.

  • AWSOME!!!

  • I was at the recording studio when Hound Dog Recorded this. The interesting deal was that I'd been listening to Hound Dog for about a year at little hole in the walls

and had never heard him do this'un. When I asked him where he got the idea

from Hound Dog replied "Big Boy Crudup"

  • Holy shit I haven't heard this for nearly 25 years - we were sitting up on the roof of a house on a sunny day and had the big speakers outside. Cold beers, good friends, a few joints, and the Houserockers on LOUD.

  • @deathbycoffee good times.

  • Houserockers are the best chic. blues !!
