props to rampage for being so honest, he showed up in terrific shape and you could tell he worked his ass off. sadly his gameplan wasn't all that and jones was simply the better fighter, no bones about it.

@GribMurder Rampage has always had a problem with distance and against those with good movements, aka alittle bit too stiff. It's frustrating because each time he enters the octagon I wish he would just sprint forward and knock the shit out of people :)

I'm the same way, I have trouble closing the gap. Jones was asked on twitter what he thought about the fight and he said Rampage had VERY tight defense - and it showed. Sadly when Jones takes you down, sooner or later, the fight is over.

@slashini Rampage is a bit tenative because he knows that fools rush in! Thats why a true Boxer will take his time and pick his shots against another true boxer due to timing. Boxing is about timing. Boxing is a sweet science, you wiegh your opponent down and then you gon in when the time is right. Mike Tyson used to bumrush his opponents because he had no respect for they're boxing skills but when he fought skilled boxers he took his time like with Evander Holyfield.

With all of the events leading up to the fight, i had begun to dislike the new Jones that was cocky... And now i see that he isn't acting cocky anymore. Although he beat Rampage pretty decisively, I think he learned something. I'm going to discount anything disrespectful that happens pre fight with rashad as pre fight hype.

Secondly, and nothing against Jones and I see a lot of guys do that, but we need to get rid of that downed opponent rule, when the hand is on the ground the rule doesn't protect unnecessary damage, its really just an annoyance and a loophole which makes MMA more of a sport than a fight.
