Saw one fly overhead at most, 200 yards over head, it looked like it might hit a water tower it was so close. Same city, Columbia, mo.

I live in Columbus Ohio and I too have seen this incredible aircrafts. Of course though, it was around 10:45 - 50, and it was loud and dark.

nuclear ICBM's are best fired from a surfacing submarine from safe waters, rather than a bomber flying over enemy territory

ICBMs can't be redirected enroute, bombers can. Payloads can be re-programmed by the crew if the target has changed after take-off. There are bombs that can be released from safe airspace against enemy targets.

yes, but ICBMs are quickly detected when they're launched, and the enemy has about 30 min to evacuate the target depending on the range. some targets are best hit with almost no warning at all, which is best achieved with this aircraft which can only be detected when it's so close that it's too late. is unlikely to be shot down anyway.

Lots of blood, sweat & tears. Incredible amounts of software, a bunch of onboard computers & a bitchin; design. Spent 5+ years on this beauty. This thing is incredible & will turn on a dime if required. The pilots & ground crews love it. Despite the price reported by the media, it is less expensive than a B-52 when the dollars are adjusted for inflation etc.
