And yes, I take my chances on the remarks because the positive totally outweighs the negative. I want the viewers to see that children with Trisomy 18 are not 'incompatible with life' and that with hard work...anything is possible. My feelings about abortion...people call me crazy, but am I the crazy one when I choose not to murder my flesh and blood?

my sister had trisomy 18. she lived to be 4 1/2. this may sound odd to some people, but i think i learned more from her than from anyone else in my life. she taught me that nothing could ever be so bad that you can't smile. she taught me how to be happy.

she was so precious to me, as i'm sure lane is to you.

like scifimom, i found myself cheering for him.  what an accomplishment.

@LiveYourTruth1 Why are you frustrated? This video was taken during a physical therapy session. We are trying to build his strength, and teach him how do these things on his own. It will take a lot of work to get there. I was told he wouldn't live longer than a week, so he is a miracle in my eyes. How did you find his video?

@alihauber I see it was PT. He is a miracle! It's frustrating to me because you didn't let him stay up & enjoy his upright view very long. I found your video while looking for another inspirational video. I know what it's like to have a miracle child. My son was born with 3/4 heart & pulmonary hypertension (open heart, closed heart & many other surgeries). If I offended you, that wasn't my intention. It was just frustrating to watch the therapist rush him (looked like rushing to me).

I know it was rushed, I agree, but I think it was because it took the therapist completely by surprise. I video most of Lane's sessions, and he did this without warning...as you can hear me say "Oh my GOD!". I never thought I would be able to see my son achieve this. More...
