  • Well done. Curious on the 'empty' weight of your chuck box. Will the bungees hold contents in and water out if you dump your canoe? The only thing i can think of to improve this set up is replacing the bungees with one inch webbing & side release buckles? Thanks for passing along some great ideas, keep it up.

  • do you have the plans drawn out or sketched out. I would be interested in trying to make one myself.

  • @lancerwest I don't have detailed drawings. The design was reasonably simple so once I came up with the basic layout I just got out everything that was going to be in the box and measure and cut to the necessary dimensions to get everything fit snug. The main dimensional requirement was limited to the rack on the bottom. If you have any specific questions, let me know.

  • The things that you use on the side to tie the paracord to is call a " boat cleat". By the way this is a very nice box, Well Done.
