@mercyalex It's not the sound of the drum kit that's shit, it's the sound of the crappy microphone used to record it. It's a camera microphone - when Portnoy does his videos he mic's every drum, applies EQ and mixes it all together. This is very raw and unmodified.

I know if you are trying to get your hands on a Bubinga kit where I live (Washington D.C.) You have to wait for it on order because no one keeps them in stock. Even when they do they either A) get purchased rather quickly or B) are rather small kits. Mike's real kit is worth thousands upon thousands of dollars. No music store is gonna have that in stock for him to clinic on.
