Let me give you the following advice:

1) use a smaller pit and preferably a circle not square.

2) Use only spiders that are same size. Make sure they both have killed before you pit them against each other.

3) Never shake the fighting cage. This scares both spiders and makes things worse. Use a stick when pushing and touch the rear leg not the butt.
