Dont listen to the people sayin jax is boring, the reason that Jax gets a negative reputation as a backwards or boring town is because of its huge, spread-out city limits. Some people choose to live 20 miles out in the middle of nowhere in a bland subdivision, and then blame "Jacksonville" when their lives are boring. It's the equivalent of saying that Atlanta is boring because you live in Alpharetta and find it very dull.

Yeah, we could have more of our people here, however, Jacksonville has great architecture, and if you find a good, well payed job (believe me, there is) and a nice place to live in this city, it's actually pretty nice. Whoever you are that recorded this, I'm amazed. This video shows what downtown Jacksonville looks like. It really does look just like this. Never mind the idiosyncrasies: Jax may be the Atlanta of the south; cities grow. I'm from Gainesville; when I have time, I drive to Jacksonville, and then ride my trike around town. Downtown. (It's the only way I can see it without walking). It's a pretty cool city. Still can not figure out how they deal with that St. Johns River divide, though. =^.^=

Jacksonville, Florida is my home where all of my original family lived. I have watched Jacksonville grow from the old 1950's , 60's skyline to the present! Jacksonville offers many amenities not to mention fine beaches , parks, golfing, and of course The Jaguars of the National Football League. I dedicate this video to my grandparents who made it possible for me to grow up in Jacksonville, Florida, USA...
