Any movie that's on the IMDB Top 250 is not underrated. Plenty of people have seen "The Truman Show," and almost everyone who has seen it recognizes its genius.

You could make an argument for "The Truman Show" deserving more than it got, but what it did get was a lot more than most moviemakers ever see in entire careers. If you want to champion a movie in need of public recognition, there are movies in more desperate need than this one.

Great movie. Allot of class mates , me took this from a certain position of view that what the directors did was the worst thing to do to a human. Trapping there life in a bubble with a fake family, fake town ? only drive them away from the truth, believe what they are seeing is truly there home? yet instead is just a Tv show? There should of been a second movie showing his life beyond the barriers of a reality tv set.

i always thought i lived in a tv show even before i ever heard of this film. after some thought i have the belief that the entire universe is a simulation that is being observed. at the end of the day, whats the point of us being here if theres no one there to watch? only until something is observed and measured can it be identified as an existing system, a self observant universe seems pointless (humans being the observer) as we are within it and can directly effect (mess up) the observations..

Der Begriff "Science" spielt wiederum eine Rolle, also Wissenschaft, deshalb Raumschiffe, Laser etc. Generell steht der Begriff "Science Fiction" einfach für eine Art Zukunftsgeschichten, sprich, Geschichten, die von zukünftigen Entwicklungen in verschiedenen Bereichen der Wissenschaft erzählen.

He gave an unwanted child a second chance, but the beauty of the movie was that Truman wanted the truth, and was willing to die for it, and the Creator was disillusioned with what the truth really was, and Truman made him ultimately appreciate it. They both found their humanity in a sense, that was what the creator wanted to happen.

Its the second movement (the romance). You will recognise the part about 2 or so minutes in from the film, then some more from the film at about 5 or 6 minutes in.

There are some shadows in the first movement too but you will definitely recognise the second movement from the film.

Plus this is a very beautiful concerto anyway so you should listen to it!
