Вот нахрена так газовать не понимаю. Профессионализм преодоления таких участков как определяется по тому, на сколько водитель чувствует газ. Профессионал умеет дать столько газа, что бы колесо тянуло на пределе, но не срывалось в юз.
YES OPEN DIFFS ARE THE WEAKNESS,IN ADDITION,IF IT HAD LONGER SUSPENSION REACH, DIAGONAL TIRES WOULD HAVE HAD TRACTION WHILE STILL FIRMLY ON THE GROUND. JUST LIKE OTHER 4X4 EVEN IF THEY HAVE OPEN DIFFS,THEY CAN GO THROUGH SUCH CASES COZ ALL TIRES WOULD STILL BE FIRM ON THE GROUND.
BUT ANYWAY, FORESTER IS STILL A VERY CAPABLE VEHICLE AND I LIKE IT A LOT.
What's hurting your traction in this situation is the "open" front and rear differentials. The wheel with the least traction at each end of the car will spin. Subaru does make various limited-slip rear diffs for this vehicle.
@snowrocket: Sorry, but you are wrong. Subaru DOES make VLSD rear differencials for the Forester...I know because my Forester is equipped with one. Though, it is a little weak, and still doesn't help much with the diagonal spin (that ALL 4x4 vehicles without locking diffs encounter). The way to overcome diagonal spin is to avoid that type of situation (or power through it). Off-roading is all about wheel placement.
@bluefox4848 Re-read my comment again. I never said they didn't make LSDs and I know that they're standard on some models. They're usually standard on the upper trim lines of each model. I agree entirely with the rest of your comments, though.

you need asymmetrical 4wd, that is a system that will bias torque to the wheels that need it

@etherialcruiser Symmetrical awd does that, as well.

@snowrocket that's why you apply the brakes as well as the gas at the same time and that helps tremendously with that problem.
