sounds like you have some crap in the bore, making the piston not retract all the way. if you really abuse your bike (in the winter especially) this is possible. before you try a complete rebuild, take the pads of and wipe out the inside of the caliper, with and without the brakes engaged. otherwise, this is exactly why hydros are nice -- you can rebuild your setup with minimal effort and that should get you back to the original performance.
glad to hear the video was helpful. buffingtonr is right, the DOT fluids are not for skin contact and you should try to avoid it. Also, I probably should have caught the fluid with a large piece of cardboard. A broken-up box would have done fine for the small amount of fluid that comes out of the system after you have drained it most of the way.
Apparently the DOT3/4 brake fluid is volatile enough to dictate specialized disposal. If the fluid mixes with drinking water (via ground water run-off or seeping into the aquifer through the ground) that would be a very bad thing.
Also, for the sake of covering your own ass, you might not want to say the fluid is not that bad to get on your skin. In the USA, many people make a living by suing other people over subtleties like that.
All that to say, your videos saved my freeride mountain bike!

My Hayes stroker trail pistons aren't fully decompressing from the rotors causing friction any solutions??
