  • Have loved this song since I first heard it on the radio in the early 80's. Gets better with every play!

  • Awesome song!!! one of my favorites!

  • Timeless and beautiful song by Michael Franks. Living legend Natalie Cole did a great job remaking it.

  • LOVE IT!!

  • une voix superbement feutré et bien placé, sur un air de bossanova....Exellent, merci je clic sur mes favoris, Merci! ;-))) en corps!

  • Thanx M Franks.....

  • You know I love this song, but I can't look at his face at the same time. Ruins the moment

  • One of the smoothest songs ever!!!!!!!!

  • Great song, timeless!!!!!

  • I agree with the two comments above

  • Natalie Cole worked wonders with this tune!

  • His voice is so soothing :)

  • thx for all the Frank's Bos

  • The musical arrangement is just sublime.

  • j'adore vraiment j'avias oublié que c'était magnique Michael Franks! bravo!!!

  • Always tranquil, easy listening with this guy. Never abrasive.

  • Luscious eargasm. Chairdancing now.

  • Man oh Man, I was introduced to Michael back in 1984 when I was stationed in Japan. I ve seen him live a couple of times what a voice. Thanks for this.

  • Makes time stand still - I love this song!

  • This was the first album I ever bought, I was stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco in the early 80's and I would hear him on the quiet storm, I've been a fan every since.....

  • By far my favorite of all his work...it has a sleek sound that sets the mood everytime I hear it...

  • Such a beautiful song... and sexy might I add! Listen to the lyrics. Ha!

  • This is one immensely lush and sensual song done by Michael Franks and the cover done by Natalie Cole is as equally sensual ,in fact she owned this song like she had orignally written it but Michael gets full credit for this masterpiece....

  • @Socaman20 Yes she did own this song, almost to the point where she should've been back paid royalties and residuals for it. Still, Michael Franks is magical on this song (he wrote it). Like you said, he has a masterpiece here:)

  • @Socaman20 i "totally" agree with you on this one...this is one of my "all-time" favourite songs...

  • This is my FAVORITE HANDS DOWN on this album!

  • @lvn4life my favorite song on this album is "Rainy Night in Tokyo".

  • @flyty9393 "Rainy" was actually the reason I bought Passionfruit but over the years I grew to love "Tell Me" as my favorite! I love them both, along with the rest of the album (not really found about "sly" but I still listen to it lol)

  • I like Natalie Cole's verson better.

  • I hope somebody will upload "When I think Of Us" from " the camera never lies" album. Another Masterpiece.

  • I love when he does this samba shit.

  • Thanks for posting this, a favorite of mine for decades.

  • One of Michael's most beauftiful songs EVER...............

  • Love hearing him singing with the strings on the back half of this, and I just love his background vocals. I really do love this song in it's entirety, but I just adore hearing the latter portion of it:)

  • This in my top 5 favorite Michael Franks songs. Such a sensual song...makes you wanna sway. Thanks for the post. Didn't feel like looking for the album :)

  • @Classyjazzlady the albums "worth it"...as is any of his material !!!

  • very nice song

  • This is going on the set list for my next gig! Right after Don't Go by Tania Maria and Heavens' Design from Bobby McFerrin

  • I think that this is the "best" song that Michael Franks wrote...i love both his and Natalie Cole's version ... i get chills down my back every time i heard it...

I wonder if Michael sent this to Richard and Karen Carpenter...cause this arrangement and orchestration is "right on" target for something Richard would've done with this song!

  • deeply passionate!!!
