  • It's the "Marimba Novelty Orchestra" as noted in the video info. That's all it says on the record label.

  • WHat recording is this? I want to use it in a film and would really like to know. thanks

  • Now that I think about it, the band bears some resemblance to the later 1920s-1930s Green Bros. Marimba Band with Jack Parker/J. Donald Parker [although many people would say that mallet perc. orchestras are Green units].

  • Awesome! Banners had some of the most interesting renditions.

  • Hi Jazzbaby,

    I LOVE THIS SONG!

    Merci.

  • A double sided Banner hit in Orthophonic high fidelity. There's no comparison to that exponential horn. Great postings, thanks.

  • Those orthophonic console phonographs really had a terrific sound. Thanks for posting these.

  • Jazz Baby, A fun one! Very nice. Thank you. YF, J.

  • Lucky person you are, possessing a 10-50!

  • Lucky now, perhaps! I spent MONTHS rebuilding it, but it was worth all the hard work :)

  • For sure it was; congratulations and enjoy!

  • If you were to have a Christmas party you could load up the 10-50 with Christmas records and relax with guests.

  • That's actually happened! We had a recent small "phono people" gathering over the summer and played several stacks on the 10-50. Great fun!
