OMG This Alex Clayton guy is seems wicked similar to me. Same serve motion, same one-handed backhand motion, same forehand motion, same racquet. I even wear that same hat!
@BBCWorldwideLtd they play lets in college. ppl were calling ace serves lets so much that they just decided to play lets. its sad bc when the ball clips the net and barely goes over it should be replayed, but bc of all the cheaters they cant. either play all lets, or none.
For a community its 2 years max since its intended to be a 2 year college. And for 4 year universities its 4 years of max play time. So if you get into the college at say 25 you can play until your 29, has to be consecutive years.
@JonnyTennis315 My camcorder allows me to capture pictures at 30 frames per second. Every once in a while I would go back and capture the player's forehand and backhand and make a collage of how they hit their strokes.
I think this might be one of my videos that plays at half speed. I noticed the video length is 18:42 and You Tube only allows for videos that are less than 10 minutes.
in d1 there is net,however in d2 and d3,as in the atp, the net is not counting so if u hit it you serv again (if the ball goes in the designated area ofc).
stupid question but i was wondering if those guys are ranked (atp, or other) and how can u achieve a ranking in atp?? do u have to play only in atp tourneys , and how do college players get the chance of playing qualifying in atp?
Abid doesn't look intimidating at all.

Im not from the US so apologies for the ignorance about college tennis, but did they play-on after a "let" serve? 7:52 why is that?
wongtim12 2 years ago
college tennis do not play lets :)
polipoli7 2 years ago
Yes they do. Know your info man.
Toanieboi 2 years ago
College tennis play lets. It's mostly luck so it's like hitting a lucky shot.
Toanieboi 2 years ago
@wongtim12
in college tennis they play lets so the point continues if the serve goes in no matter what

Why are you following teh player with the camera when the view already gets the whole court. It is much nicer to follow if the camera was still

@isoferic Bradely Klahn(Stanfords #2) was ranked I think around 790s for his highest. Clayton(Stanfords #1) was a little higher.

They can play in the ATP but they just can't accept any money if they win since that would change their status from amateur to professional.
Maximagq 2 years ago
the camera man sux and they need a line man or have their eyes check
wind1357 2 years ago
You usually do, but NCAA tennis (college tennis) allows this. So does one of the minor tennis leagues.
skkang74 2 years ago
its called a let and no its not standard, only ncaa rules
mchrist910 2 years ago
that serve at 6:10 sure didn't look in but it could be the camera angle

The Stanford guy reminds me of Roddick the way he is always fidgeting.

I think he and Klahn would do well if they can break through to the atp. I do think they are better than young and querry
