3 of many: Meade with it capital in Hamgmatāna (Ecbatana, Hamedan) was an empire which was conquered by Cyrus the Great. The father of Cyrus' mother was the ruler of the Meade at that time. Hamedan is in Iran today and is not and was not part of Kurdistan. The great Kurdistan (which it's parts are still part of Iran) was part of Meade empire, so was the State of Rai (Tehran) and the state of Ispahan and Azarapadegan (Azerbaijan) and so on.

Kurdistan has not belonged to Iran for 1000s years because before 1920s there was no country with name Iran. There were Persia, Kurdistan, Azrbejan and so on. The British created Iran in the 1920s. @KurdLurKarimKhanZand from a scientific point of view lori is part of southwestern branch of indo-iranian languages together with persian while kurdish is a north-western language together with balochi, mazandarani, gilaki and taleshi etc. the structure of lori is very similiar to ancient persian and middle persian, only different is that lors kept many persian words alive while neo-persian langauge lost words replaced by arabi and turki because of former muslim rulers. Lori is pure iranic!
