Along the years, many actors tried to play A.Christie's unequalled sleuth H. Poirot. They all failed: the indiferent Austin Trevor, the undiscribabe Tony Randall, the overacting ham Albert Finney and the charismatic Peter Ustinov playing a wonderful - Peter Ustinov. And then along came David Suchet, and a fictitious character became alive and real. He is Poirot to the last detail. The production is impeccable and the supporting cast flawless. A jolly good show.
Every time I think I've watched them all, another one pops out from the blue taking me by a pleasant giddy surprise! I can't stop myself from watching it then! :)
As is usually the case, Agatha Christie spends a lot of time laying out the premise, and delves deeply into the descriptions and lives of each character. In the original book, Poirot didn't come on the scene until chapter 7.....I understand how spending this much time on character development would be impossible for television. The book was intriguing and worth the read.
@lollipopfop After hating a lot of Agatha Christie's work (Miss Marple) you finally show your true colours !! Who knew??!! Is it because you just don't like Marple or is it because you REALLY didn't like the acting?? Don't take it the wrong way... I'm just curious to see your opinion is!! (Everyone is entitle to his or hers right??) Please reply :-)
i ve been looking for this one for a long time, the ending is most scary!!! thanks for uploading so many poirots as possible, i will forever be his fan, like i forever will be fan of twin peaks!! some things just prevail.

well badger me the guy who plays sexy George is none other than the guy who plays Magneto in the new 2011 X-men Film.
Its so funny to see people we recognise in Poiroit and Miss Marple
