Freaking AWESOME! Cheap Trick is my favourite band! The came to Columbus Ohio on the 9th of July, got to hear some soundcheck. I already got tix to see The Smashing Pumpkins that night, so I couldnt go. I saw CT last year on the 15th of July, seeing them again in August. ^ . ^

I love going to concerts (if you can call them that, maybe you would call them musical performances?) at my local fair every year. Because like you say they are people you haven't seen in forever. I am not going this year because the ones I do know are country singers. I watched Night Ranger one year and Blue Oyster Cult the next. I liked Night Ranger better but I think it's because I lived closer and so it wasn't as miserable walking there and back.

yeay south boston my hometown even thoguh i never really considered that south boston. that area is so much nicer these days, i used ot work for brighams downtown on high st. and used to love walking down to the seaport on a nice day to deliver ice cream. And yes that area is confusing they shouldve jsut numbered the buildings 1 2 3 instead one like west st or something and the other is seaport lane.

Haha it's kinda crazy, I went to a concert at that same location a couple weeks ago seeing Doobie Brothers and Chicago. Amazing concert, although this was the Tuesday that it hit 100 degrees, and as you know, it's an outdoor venue.

My father wanted to go to this show you're at... even possibly just listen from outside, but it never happened.

And yeah... the food prices are ridiculous there. But good you enjoyed it for what it was. Free is [almost] always good.
