I suggest Googling "update htc touch pro 2 windows mobile 6.5" and "your carrier," because there are different updates for different carriers. Example: "update htc touch pro 2 windows mobile 6.5 Sprint"

I recommend first backing up your data before you update, because you can corrupt your phone by updating.

@juliengds Since posting this video I've moved on to the HTC EVO which runs Android, but I think I can still help you. Check your messages for some links.

Are you trying to upgrade your HTC TP2 from Sense 2.1 to 2.5? You should get the upgrade when you went from Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5. This does vary from service provider to service provider though. I am not 100% sure if AT&T's Tilt 2 (Their version of the Rhodium aka, TP2) ever got an update

i tried the fix too and it didnt help me. it still pauses at random.

Just a few nights ago I had this problem reoccur as it usually does after a system restart and the issue was reoccurring persistently.

I had to do my "ghetto" fix with multiple songs before it actually started working for me.

I'm not sure how you came across my video but I'm going to PM you a link to ppcgeeks forums and a thread discussion where we are trying to sort out this issue.

Right now I'm at a loss as to why this is working for some and not others.

@boomtomb I was just being sarcastic and stating that my fix for this issue is fairly lame in the way that it works. It isn't permanent and that it doesn't always solve the problem.

In other words I was cracking a joke while explaining something serious.

while your pausing may be due to that CleanRam program, I am having the same pausing in the player and I dont have that program installed. I am running a clean Stock rom.

I realized and acknowledged in the video that a manila.exe restart is what seems to create this issue. That isn't the source of the problem but is in relation to its cause.
