  • I didn't expect such moronic comments for a song from Elvis. Usually his Youtube videos attract listeners that have appreciation for an elevated level of music. If you don't like it, go comment on the latest offerings from your deathmetal band or the newest "American Idol" or "Glee" singer. Leave the comments on songs like this to the adults? Thanks.

  • Are we ignoring the fact that he was introduced by Eddie Izzard?!?!

  • @jd918351 Holy shit that was Eddie Izzard! I thought he sounded familiar.

  • If you don't like Elvis and his music how about you don't listen to it and try to ruin it for the people who actually have good taste in music, sound good?

I think he always does an amazing job, so kudos to him. (:

  • Here's a bloke that could not re-invent himself... friekin' tragic like all the other crap he released since the first album.

  • I love this version of this song. Elvis delivers with an intensity that only Elvis can. He might only have a co-writer credit, but there is a lot of Costello in this song.

  • What a gloomy song, not the type of song to sing on someone's memorial.

  • @pearlsfortheswines I really don't agree. I think the emotion brought to this is extremely fitting

  • @runninglikewind If the room was filled with melancholically depressed people, yeah!

  • Steve Nieve (from the Attractions) plays his usual stellar piano. What is not to like about this version? Fantastic!

  • Wow! It's songs like these that make me love music.

  • Thanks for postng, EC performed McCartney's song Warm & Beautiful on the concert I have uploaded it - no video, only audio, search for "Elvis Costello warm and beautiful".

  • Linda would have liked it

  • Are you serious? This is an amazing performance! Incidentally, McCartney is hardly a great singer, he is a good writer though.

  • Terrible performance, annoying voice from Costello.

Original version from Flowers in the dirt y (of course with Paul singing) is a great one, but this is horrible

  • lets see you sing it dickwad.

  • @gotchava You are the biggest fucking retard I have ever had the displeasure of seeing.

  • If I could ask either Paul or Elvis one question, I would ask them when they're recording more together.

  • emotional every time i hear this, don't understand lyrics but get the passion from Mr Mcmanus

  • Elvis did great singing this song. I need to see him in concert.

  • Elvis continues to show that he is one of the best.

  • Paul really needs to get back in the studio with E.C.

  • I totally agree.

  • what a song

  • This has always been one of my favorite McCartney recordings. Probably one of the best songs on Flowers in the Dirt. EC just does a spectacular job.

  • so sadly missed by all.

    kynda left a legacy

  • That must've been a bitch to follow up.

  • thank you so much for this, and to elvis and paul this is a new favorite song for me.I have forgot what it feels like to have a new fav song it has been so long

  • Great stuff - I had this on a VHS tape but it got recorded over years ago

Thanks for posting - this man is a legend

  • Fucking amazing... i miss the backing vocals.. but i love it anyway

  • Amazing performance. Beautiful tribute to Linda

  • why was eddie izzard there?

  • A fantastic song by Macca and Costello. This is truly a amazing performance and the song is so right for the occasion.

  • There's a wonderful version on one of Elvis' Best of Albums with a gospel group (The Fairfield Four I think?)

  • Yes, it is the Fairfield Four and they are fantastic!

  • Ah yeah... This IS cool... Nevr seen it before and I have almost everything..

    Goddam this is cool!

  • Elvis really has a fantastic voice and bring a more gospelfeel to the song then what Pauls original does. Anyway I like Pauls better, but still this is a fantastic preformance.

  • ..if you listen hard enough you can hear "Amazing Grace" in the melody..

  • Is that introduction by Eddie Izzard?

  • Insanely well done.

  • I like it much better than McCartney's version.

  • Elvis have a studio version of this song singed by himself, its beatiful

  • I love the version on the album with the background singers. One of his best!

  • Wow indeed. This is a great reading of the song, I've only ever heard McCartney's version before. Thanks for posting this.

  • Wow. Elvis hits some major range on this.

Fantastic. Where do you find this on DVD?
