  • Jason, I have to tell you, back in highschool we sang this song in Chorus class, and I fell inlove with it back then..loved it ever since. I think you sing it beautifully....keep it up. It's wonderful!!!

  • i like, if thats being silly i wanna be daft as a brush

  • I prefer to hear it sung in Amajor but think you do a better job here in f than you do on your other version, that one is a bot shrill in parts but this has a more mellow tone if somewhat pedestrian, not sure about the change at 2.32 either, pleasant enough for a party, they should be so lucky, I'm sure it was well recieved by all, you could sing at my party anytime.

  • Definately better in the higher key for your voice. This key (F) would be brilliant for a baritone but your voice has such a lovely tenor quality it sounds better in the higher key.

  • lovely voice x x

  • Please tell me were this video was shot - th e state - the city please ......it is great !!!!

    Norm

  • Thank you--it was shot in Torrance, California.

  • I just don't know if my hearing is getting impaired. Jason's version is beautiful. If he's not a tenor, then what voice he has. He sings very high, very neat and almost effortlessly. I tend to like his version more than the tenors'.

  • dude those people laughing within the audience you should have made the shut up coz you are a real joy and you simply rock go go ahead and do some concerts

  • impressive.

    Very well done good sir!!!

  • Being silly? Hardly! That was beautiful! Well done!

  • brilliant...

    ode to michael c....

    lovely rendention.......

    thanks....I caught the hu-more

  • Oh my goodness ... beautiful!

  • That was really beautiful..you have an amazing voice :)

  • Beautiful!!! Don't let anyone tell you differently!

  • haha, GO HIGH TENORS!

    haha, awesome!

  • wow,great voice!Great performance for karaoke!!!5 stars!

  • You did brilliantly. The key was perfect for me too - I could never do it in the higher one!

  • Fantastic job! Considering your audience, you maintained your focus. It's difficult singing at functions when people are yet chatting and don't grasp the significance of such a power song in prayer. Awesome Jason. The best I've heard off the stage!!

  • Damn. That's awesome. Shame about the dramatics, but hey if you can sing like that, and it's at a party, who cares :)

  • one: i do not mind the Michael Crawford hands.

two: this was a phenomonal rendition

i think my favorite part was from " The summers die one by one...gone."

    amazing

  • OH MY GOD he sings it perfect!

  • You truly do the song justice. your voice really impressed me.

  • BRAVO

    loved it !!!!!

  • i jason it'your canadian friend lynda, when i hear you singin this song.i hear it in my heart.wow you know how can feel us. never stop to sing!

  • wow very nice!

  • You have real talent. That is a difficult piece and you nailed it.

  • I like your voice..you should explore..sing more

  • can u tell me where u found this cd with this version of this song please!! u did great

  • It's just a simple karaoke CD. Any karaoke store would have it. It's on the "Les Miserables" karaoke CD, as well as other Broadway CD's. You could probably even find it on iTunes. Good luck.

  • Really enjoyed this. Thanks

  • Superb voice thanks I really enjoyed it

    Shame about the background noise

  • the audience was rude....talking and whispering. I would have been sitting there in a trance. what a lovely voice. thanks!!!

  • I hate the fact that all the arrangements and amateur-ish versions change this to be in the key of F. Can't we just keep it in A? Not your fault though. Good job; I hate singing after having a cold. Your voice isn't bad; obviously I can't say more, since I don't know what you sound like when you're not slightly sick.

  • what are you talking about? you know you're being a douche bag, right?

he did it for fun, at a party, just to entertain people, not to enter a singing contest!

Some people got the Simon-Cowell Complex... Freud understands.

  • This is one of my favorite songs and as the music started I sang the song too... thus I had too go back and listen too it a second time too truly hear you sing it. I loved the jump of the third up too the F at Let him live, it gave it a great Allen Cumming belt quality which is WAY impressive for getting over a cold! I sang this arrangement in a concert last year for my senior recital so I know the song very well and sir, you have done it justice the way many haven't.

  • sorry: "...i thought...."

  • wow, in the first part i thoud it´s a little bit to soft, but at the end i was speechless. great voice ! the step into a higher octave ("let *him live*) was so amazing !

  • wow - a third lower in key - where did find this version?

  • Honestly, most of the karaoke versions I've seen of this song are in this lower key. I suppose because the original really is freekin' high. "Bring It Down" is such a funny parody of this song. Check out "Forbidden Broadway" if you don't know what I'm talking about.

  • If you go into any music store that carries sheet music most of them are connected to a data base that has a lot of popular music(especially show tunes and this is practically a standard) and you can have them lower the key or raise it too any that you would prefer. Impressive ear! I only knew it was lowered because this is how I sang it.

  • You have an amazing voice

  • not bad

  • please see my version :)

  • you should give up your day job and get down to the west end,id pay to see you

  • Bravo! I sing that song too, but I have to admit you do it better :-(

  • yay jason! you sound amazing

(this is vicky, one of the kids from family art camp at idyllwild)

  • Yay Vicky! Thanks!!

  • um i wish i could sing liek that after gettin gover a cold

  • Damn good and a difficult song to sing.

  • Awesome, never noticed the sore throat at all. You've a fantastic voice.

  • I love your voice (sorry I don't know your language)

in spanish is something like that "Que pedazo de voz!!!!!"

  • Wow. This is really beautiful! I love your voice so much. Beautifully and wonderfully done!

  • Well done my man. You are an artiste. And as someone already said, you do deserve a much better venue.

    Best wishes,Mark

  • fantastic

  • You have a voice that makes me happy!

  • Who are you and why are you singing at karaoke parties? Beautiful job with this song even with the irritating background chatter. You deserve a better venue.

  • nicely done Jason

  • You actually gave me goosebumbs (is that the word?) when you sang "Summers die" ...that hasn´t happened but ONCE and it was at London when I saw Earl Carpenter playing Erik.

  • I believe the correct term is "goosebumps", but I'm no literary figure. You're very kind--thank you!!

  • Beautiful job, of course. You always give me goosebumps when you sing. :)

  • Again...beautiful voice Jason!!! I'll be loking for your CD soon!!!

  • Remind me not to compete against you in a Karaoke competition! Geez, that was great!

  • Thanks!

  • thats brilliant man, have you ever heard of john owen-jones

  • I just have one thing to say...WOW!!! No offence to the wonderful Mr. Wilkinson, but I think you're much better, Colm's voice is too high for me, yours is perfect!!! D'you sing any other Les Mis songs?

  • I agree

  • Wow, you have an amazing voice!!! Especially for just coming out of a cold! Great job on the song!!
