@axelbby I dunno, it's possibly a bit faster than the original, but that typically works better for live performances. The orchestra is definitely playing on beat with the pianist. When you add a bunch of runs and flair to piano pieces, the result often is a piece that sounds much faster even if the melody is progressing at the same pace.

@Zeppelin2501 You can't ruin one game by making another, silly. Rest assured that a remake will never impress you more than the original. It was one thing when the thrill of Final Fantasy was new to us, but now, we know the series inside and out. The only thing that will be new would be the graphics and maybe the battle system, so even if Squaresoft themselves had remade it, it still wouldn't give you the satisfaction you had years ago, unfortunately.

several people I know have expressed fear of a FF7 remake ruining the original. It's difficult to ruin FF7 - the personalities and storyline are indestructible. Just the graphics (and possibly the fighting system) need improvement. If FF3 and FF4 could have very well-done remakes, idk why FF7 shouldn't.
