This thing has a very slow turnover doesnt it? I would have thought that that alone is a drawback, after all why would anyone want to filter LESS water per hour? How can that be more eddicient?
@rawdog268 Well a year later after I made this comment and these filters have NOT taken the world by storm, theyr'e just too expensive, too cumbersome, and many would argue that parts, inserts etc are difficult to get hold of and there are some reliability issues too. Slow moving water is of NO extra benefit, or else everyone would be clamping their standard filter lines to slow the water the same and convert them.. Flash in the pan.
No, the G will not be more powerful than the FX5 but will have a number of innovative features that the FX5 does not have. It's really a matter of focus, the FX5 was designed for really big tanks while the G is designed for not AS big tanks but to offer better overall filtration and ease of maintenance, etc.
