I prefer the bioshock movie than the halo movie bioshock is way better than halo and if you don't agree with me its because you got scared by the game bioshock ps bioshock had a better story line than halo and I don't hate halo but it is true:-)
Bioshock should: Put emphasis on sound/music, environment, emotion, insanity, instinct for survival, darkness, evil, original story line, a dark and sinister cast, focus on r-ship of big daddy and little sister, try to have as much underwater detail as possible, destructive environments- blood stains, and eerie writtings on the walls.
Bioshock should not: Lower standards to a childrens movie or anything other than horror, comedic references are not essential, playful aspects limited, happiness.

BioShock is being made into a movie because of the AMAZING concept it has. I could also see a Fallout movie coming into play, but for games like Halo? Halo goes hand in hand with Call of Duty, and we all know if those were turned into movies they would suck.
Bioshock was epic!! I really do hope they make the movie, I would go see it in theaters AND buy it as soon as it came out. Movies cost way more than that either way and this would would be sure to make a profit even with that cost because of the loyal players who keep checking to see if its in production yet (like me~!) as long they stayed true to the video game's gore and sadness. For it to be a true Bioshock film it HAS to be sad the emotion in Bioshock is what makes it such a good game, e.g. in the film they should have a big daddy defending a little sister, he kills of the splicers but is badly wounded, he falls to the ground and the little sister is trying to pull him to his feet, then the sad Bioshock music starts to play then the big daddy dies, then the little sister lifts up his arm and cuddles up next to him and begins to cry, now THAT would be BIOSHOCK.

160 million dollars..... How many R rated movies have blown by that? Granted movies based on video games dont do so good financially some do (like the Resident Evil series) but they didnt really stay true to the game.... I would definitely disagree with that. I'm a hardcore RE fan, have been since the very first game in '96 on the artifact known as Playstation 1. And "Alice" actually doesnt have a damn thing to do with RE, other than being a badass, fine as hell zombie killer in the movies. The reason why the movie is not being made (according to Ken Lavine) is because universal refuses to fund a video game movie with that high of a budget and have it be rated R. Gore Verbinski was supposed to direct it but pulled out when they said he couldn't make an r rated movie because there is no way he could make it true to the game other wise. Ken Lavine says they're in no rush to make a movie and they won't make one until the circumstances are just right
If Bioshock Infinite is the last game they should make 3 movies, or at least 2, but they do have to get the whole storyline because its a whip ass story that really pulls you in. Some games have shit for story, but not Bioshock!
They must first beat the game in order to make the movie, and it can't be animated, it must be with real actors, the only animation would be the plasmids, even the splicers would use the same stuff the use for zombie movies, just make them look like splicers. And the big daddy must look cool, and it has to explain how rapture came to be and how it fell, and what happened afterwards

No, Gore didn't just LEAVE the Bioshock movie! He wanted it to be rated "R" so it could be just as intense as the game. The studios didn't want to put so much money into a film that could only be viewed by adults because teens are the main target audience for video games. They think it won't get as many people to see it in theatres.
If anything, I applaud Verbinski for saying "No" to a PG-13 Bioshock movie. It would've been another Doom disaster!

2011 must suck, because 2025 is the shit. Although we did have to wait at least 14 years because of delay after delay after delay, the movie finally came out! They actually told us that they made a life size Rapture underground beneath Universal Studios. The government obviously helped. Especially when the put it into gear when an asteroid was spotted next to Neptune, and was the size of the moon. We all survived but you guys should do the same. Happy Simming! :D

The reason why the movie is not being made (according to Ken Lavine) is because universal refuses to fund a video game movie with that high of a budget and have it be rated R. Gore Verbinski was supposed to direct it but pulled out when they said he couldn't make an r rated movie because there is no way he could make it true to the game other wise. Ken Lavine says they're in no rush to make a movie and they won't make one until the circumstances are just right

If Bioshock Infinite is the last game they should make 3 movies, or at least 2, but they do have to get the whole storyline because its a whip ass story that really pulls you in. Some games have shit for story, but not Bioshock!

They must first beat the game in order to make the movie, and it can't be animated, it must be with real actors, the only animation would be the plasmids, even the splicers would use the same stuff the use for zombie movies, just make them look like splicers. And the big daddy must look cool, and it has to explain how rapture came to be and how it fell, and what happened afterwards

No, Gore didn't just LEAVE the Bioshock movie! He wanted it to be rated "R" so it could be just as intense as the game. The studios didn't want to put so much money into a film that could only be viewed by adults because teens are the main target audience for video games. They think it won't get as many people to see it in theatres.
If anything, I applaud Verbinski for saying "No" to a PG-13 Bioshock movie. It would've been another Doom disaster!

2011 must suck, because 2025 is the shit. Although we did have to wait at least 14 years because of delay after delay after delay, the movie finally came out! They actually told us that they made a life size Rapture underground beneath Universal Studios. The government obviously helped. Especially when the put it into gear when an asteroid was spotted next to Neptune, and was the size of the moon. We all survived but you guys should do the same. Happy Simming! :D
