There are three main interpretations: Some interpret these verses as describing JESUS as

going to the place where fallen angels are incarcerated and declaring HIS final victory over evil in

i think the answer is very clear they are cast into the lake of fire and are burned up,The bible says that they are judged accordinf to their works.peter 2:9 says that the wicked are reserved til the day of judgement,and guess what judgement day has not yet come future tense.

i find it kiind of interesting that luke 16:19 says that the richman lifts his eyes up in torment denoting that this man has body parts cause it says he has eyes and a tongue,and that most christinas teach that the immortal soul is something seperate from the body hmm? big problems here.did jesus not say that there would be a econd rsurrection and those in the grave will come forth hmmm??

we die we return to the dust from which we came,our brains die the functions of the soul cease to be. it,s really ironic as to what people believe.This whole going to heaven/Hell upon death is knowhere supported by scriptue yet most proponenets of christendom adhere to this pagan doctrine.

@DAVPK1 no adam and eve were the only humans on earth at the time. If you read you will see they had multiple sons and daughters. John 1 tells us that God created everything people just don't pop up out of no where. We are grafted in His body through faith in Jesus Christ. Cain married one of his sisters the scripture says that cain knew his wife not that he went off and got married after he killed his brother. I hope this helps God bless you on your journey.

When I was younger , I heard things in church that didn't make sense . i.e. That the line of Adam intermarried . Read the Bible , It says when Cain left , he went to a CITY . Which means 1 It had many inhabitants 2 It had been there awhile 3 There were other people besides Adam and Eve and their son's . Why is this so hard to see ? Doesn't the Bible say we CHRISITIANS were grafted into the vine ? Read Genesis for yourself , especially Genesis 6 . The Bible says what it means .

People use that reference as the basis of purgatory and being with Christ after death and ALL before the Judgement. Scripture is clear. Death is the cessation of life. After the first, sleep until awakened for the Judgment. Then, the second death to those whose names are not found in the book of life. I think this story is one of showing you can be up one day, treating people like crap, and down the next looking for some assistance.

CREMATION: Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Our bodies are a mere shell that house our life's essence. Once that has ceased to live within these shells, it matters not what happens to it. In Ro 8:11, Paul makes the distinction that we have mortal bodies. Mortality is opposed to immortality. Therefore these bodies are temporal. Also, in Rev 21:5 - [And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make "ALL" things "NEW"] .

Dear TMOT, i'm so glad you spoke on this topic. It kills me when i hear people say my loved one is in a better place after they pass. Revelations tells you plainly what happens when you die but people are so caught up in emotions and not reading for themselves that they quickly agree with that false indoctrination. And even if we were judged as soon as we die, its funny that no one acknowledges that there loved one mite have gone to hell; eventhough revelations states people will go to hell

Before you go to heaven or hell.Your basically in a holding room.And nothing is happening.I know before i was spared by God.Nothing happened in between when i went to sleep and woke up.Some crazy stuff happened when i woke up.But that convo is for another day.

There are no scriptures that state or imply that we have a specific Guardian Angel assigned to us. However, it is clear that Angels aid and protect us as commanded by God. Google Guardian Angels and research for yourself.
