  • doesn't it take like a week to heal though?

  • I watched this before getting my first peel (mistake) and it did scare the shit out of me. I went ahead and still had one done. Everything turned out fine. I now think you must have done this to yourself.

  • animal mother you're a f^cking moron...glad you're all healed!

  • you better sue them

  • ? dear god.

  • This is normal; I'm curious how you look now.

  • Looks like she gave her way too deep of a peel without even prepping the skin for a couple of weeks first--you should always prep the skin for a couple of weeks with a retin A cream nightly it would help the skin to absorb the peel evenly and should always start with a 10% or lower for the first time and work you way up if you desire deeper. Not all estheticians are that incompetent. I hope she sued her.

  • Why do people mess with nature unless absolutely necessary? Be happy with yourself as you are-- Drinking lots of water and a healthy diet will many times help/solve skin problems-- you are probably MORE unhappy now than before i do hope you solve your problems and think before getting any other possibly unnecessary procedures

  • Oh no! I would like to have a chemical peel for the 1st time. Now, I am afraid to have one after watching your video. I do hope you're okay now...

  • do what americans do best, sue!!!!!!!!!

  • You're both young and beautiful so why would you be so vain and almost ruin yourself?

  • so you did both microdermabrasion and Glycolic peel?

  • I hope you got payment from those morons who did such horrible things to you. I'm so happy you are taking it well, dear.

  • wow, you're extremely levelheaded about this. i can't believe it didn't hurt! i'm assuming it healed up nicely, as it really didn't look THAT bad (i mean, don't get me wrong, the beautician seriously injured you, but the burns didn't look to be 3rd degree...were they?). jeez, for the first glycolic peel, you're supposed to leave it on for like 1-2 minutes, not AN HOUR. wtf, i really hope they don't hurt anyone else with their incompetence.

  • I had to look at your channel just to see your latest vids to make sure you're ok...;)...great to see you look healed, normal, and nice again! (PHEW!) :)

  • Most walk in nail salons offer skin care but most of the employees are not licensed to do skin. Make sure they have an esthetic lic. and the picture matches the person who is doing the treatment. They use products not approved by the FDA. Always get a patch test done if you are sensitive. Go to a reputable spa and check reviews. Your face is too important. This goes for waxing also if they redip into the wax RUN they do brazilian waxes, You don't want that on your face.

  • I think this is a rare and isolated case, I use 70 percent and that is the strongest you can get and even though sometimes I did get red, my skin benefited from glycolic and I have been using it since it came out, I think that is about almost 20 years.

  • I recomand st. Ives scrub use it for two months next thing after washing face with scrub use olay moisterizer I did this it worked real good :D

  • geez. same thing happened to me. it was a nightmare, but thanks god my face got better. peelings aren't the best thing for people with severe acne. it must be treated from the inside to the outside C:

  • Im so sorry

  • hahaha, pizza face!

  • I got a peel&my face was a lil burned in a couple areas mostly my cheeks but it healed in a week or 2&was fine, yours is worse

  • I guess being vein really does have its down sides

  • You poor soul.. I feel so bad for u i am the same u r beautiful no worries

  • OH, my we feel so bad for you at ETSIS Hats after seeing your video. You might want to check out our hats to protect your skin from the sun and elements from the outdoors. They not only protect your skin from the damages of the sun that can make acne scaring worse or cause more discoloration during your healing process. Be extremely careful when driving your car and the sun exposure you receive on the left side of your face. Check our U tube video How to Wear your ETSIS Hat.-Devra CEO

    Devra

  • she is lieing & look around her Base skin,It is Quite gud,the upper layer is something like an artificial layer........ False Promotion of Glycolic Acid.....

  • That is so messed up I would of sued the hell out of them.

  • What % and PH was the Glycolic??

  • whats the name of those acne pills?

  • Are u ok now? How long did it take u to look ok again?? And what kinda peel is this? Would u recommend me to do that if i have redness and acne now and does it work against all this crap that on one's face???

  • Actually, I think it's pretty normal after microdermabrasion. Usually after something like that you have scabs and peeling and red skin. I mean, it's not like a scrub or a normal mask. You literally take a layer of skin on your face, of course you're going to look like crap for at least a week or two. Didn't they warn you about that?

  • Comment removed

  • name of the pills?

  • @17sounder OMG how are u so cool about it o_O I'd be hysterical!!!!!! Glad you've healed :)

  • I would have at least gone to court to have them pay your medical bills (plastic surgeon consult, etc.) and because they asked you to leave, which means they knew they were in the wrong. Hopefully they didn't do this to anyone else.

  • you will be fine your over reacting

  • Sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. I believe that in time your scaring will heal. In the mean time I'd stay out of the sun, apply plenty of SPF and eat well to speed up the healing process. You're still alive - that's the main thing. I'm wondering if you did a patch test before applying and did you try weaker AHAs before? Also was it neutralised? Maybe it was on for too long.

  • yesw , you should sue . , i dont care what the other idiots say , yo could get 300,000 easy

  • omg you should make sure this person is not able to hurt another young woman

  • Sorry to see this happened to you. It is a shame that someone who was not trained correctly caused this terrible ordeal for you. Only a doctor should be administering peels of this depth. These sort of accidents make the rest of us estheticians look bad. I wish you a speedy recovery. I would definitely look into having their license reviewed or revoked - no one else should suffer this same wrongdoing.

  • @KawaiyoKoji you're a monster for saying such a thing...

  • u used the wrong peel, maybe it was too strong for your skin

  • I'm so thankful you posted this because last night while removing facial hair I experienced a chemical burn that looks similar to what your face looks like in this video ( mine is a little less spread out), and I was praying someone would've posted something about chemical burn on YouTube. Thank you for being courageous enough to expose your face and also for showing us the recommendations from your dermatologist. It's absolutely appreciated!!!!!!!!

  • Poor girl- I'm so sorry this happened to you

  • Should DEFINITELY been done under a Licensed Medical Aesthetician or Physician, DEFINITELY should of had a consult before a peel and signed a consent form that clearly states that yes you are putting a chemical peel on your face and yes sometimes people have bad reactions. Sorry you went through this but a lot of people have wonderful outcomes =/

  • What pills were those? Did they work?

  • omg u poor thing... i had a glycolic peel done and it burns soooooooooooo bad. i will never do it again

  • I hope you fully recover from this awful experience at the salon.

  • wow u asked for a microdermabrasian and she gave u a chemical peel??? i dont get it? bc in the video u say that u asked for a peel in the first place but in your comments, you say that u went in for a facial..then u say microdermabrasian..which one is it? they are all different..???

  • totally agree!

  • have you recovered? are you alright now?

  • the esthetician should have kept you informed during the service, what peel she was using, y she thought that was best for your skin the acid percentage, how long she planed to leave it on and your skin's comfort level while the peel was on. they should have taken action when they saw the molten appearence and given you products to help counter it. i would sue b/c it was negligence or at least report them. even if u signed a consent for b/c that is beyond the damage a consent for addresses

  • if you lived in england you could sue the arse of the salon and get a hefty compensation claim for burning your face off !!!

  • I'm a licensed Esthetician and it's obvious that the professional did not do a patch test 324 hours prior to the peel. This would have prevented the reaction. In your description it says you asked for a microdermabrasion...but you got a peel instead? I'm confused. Did you sign a client release card/form? If not, the salon is AT FAULT! Not doing the patch test first is just scary. If you won't sure them you certainly should report them. I'm so sorry this happened. :-(

  • First off, you held up the Cetaphil cleanser that is NOT SOAP, you said the Plastic Surgeon told you to wash with soap and water. It would seem that you didn't listen to the person who gave you the peel in the first place. The very reason your skin regenerates after a peel is BEACAUSE the chemical applied wounds your skin. It is a wound site. Your skin regenerates and comes back smoother, with more uniform color as long as you FOLLOW DIRECTIONS DON"T PICK THE SKIN OFF, AVOID SUN COMPLETELY.

  • @svenlundergard1 cetephil is not soap but it's the most gentle cleanser on the market so it is better for her skin than soap which may strip and over dry.

  • WTF? Im a licensed esthetician and i just cant believe that someone would do a peel on ur face w/o doing a patch test first or that a doctor would tell you to put soap and water on your face AFTER you have had a chemical peel! it will only reactivate the peel and further mess up your skin! Sounds like u need a new esthetician and a new doctor lady

  • It looks like it's healing. How much after the peel did you do this video?

  • Aww i feel bad for you!!D':

  • Comment removed

  • You should have called an ambulance and had them make out a report and kept your bill. The owner just asked you to leave the salon? - insult to injury. They have business insurance and the owner should have checked out the credentials of all employees - how would you know what their background is, you were probably trusting that the employee was cleared by the owner in the first place. I don't blame you.

  • HAAYZ WHEN I SEE YOUR OTHER PRODUCTS YOU PUT, SERIOUSLY IT WILL BURNED YOUR FACE. ANYWAY, THAT'S OK THAT BLACKISH IN YOUR FACE WILL PEEL OFF WITH NEW WHITE SKIN

  • @juggalettetillidie2 She didn't know she was allergic to it. She's not allergic to all face masks maybe. It could of just been that one. So it is their fault for not doing a patch test to make sure something like this wouldn't happen. So don't go off on her when you don't know what you're talking about.

  • You should of protested in front of their shop.

  • be happy with the way God made u

  • I am so sorry to see that it happened to you! I hope things did go well with your skin. Say, I saw your video showing the pills for acne and scars, what is the name for it? I need to get rid of mine also. Does it work well?..

    God bless

  • Aouch!!

  • you're face is FUCKED

  • @dhide14 that's a very horrible and nasty thing to say to someone who is dealing with a chemical peel gone wrong, ESPECIALLY to someone who didn't know they were getting the peel in the first place!!!!! have some damn empathy!!!!

  • @manicash LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What percent of glycolic acid did they use?

  • how about an update.. How is your skin now? also.. you mentioned some caps that you wish you would have taken in the first place for acne scars.. what are they? did you get them at the plastic surgeons office or the store? Hope things turned out ok for you in the end!

  • I got IPL on my face for acne once. Usually that's a treatment for hair, but the 'doctor' suggested I do it for my acne. It backfired terribly. I was in so much shock and just a mess, and all he told me was 'oh, this shouldn't have happened. Here's some STAGE MAKEUP to cover that'. Horrific experience. I'm glad you were able to work through your situation. There's too many people out there now who claim they can do 'good', it's not fair.

  • i am so so so sorry. that looks so bad. my father is a plastic surgeon and he has told me about nail salons and small crappy spas that do chemical peels and how 99% of the time they screw it up and the women affected end up in his office. it is terrible

  • Looks like you put your face in a fryer

  • Ok Why Wld anyone like Rlly put anytype of acid on yourself doesn't sound To smart now does it....

  • koodos for putting this up hun

  • SUE THE DOCTOR!

  • What do you guys learn from this video ? : be thankful for what you got and dont be to gravy or you'll go deep down

  • OH MY GOD! O___O

  • you people are so un knowledgable... if you really knew about this peel you would know it takes a few weeks for it to go away... it actually helped her skin but you dont see her on her moaning and groaning in front of a camera now do you?

    she just wants money.

  • @luvrboi17 The hell do you mean she just wants money, she didn't even sue! Her face is blistered and burned badly, which means the peel was done incorrectly and you have the audacity to say "you people are so unknowledgeable?"

She already stated she healed in the comments! By your logic- or lack of, you just want attention.

  • You should throw acid in the beauticians face. None of that glycolic acid though, use good old fuming hydrochloric acid. See how she likes it.

  • That looks painful:/

  • Its normal peopke that's the process

  • You still look hot

  • Maybe it was a combination of them scrubbing your face too roughly and a high-concentration dose of glycolic acid? I've never seen anything like it.

  • These need to be done by a professional cosmetic surgeon. Salons may be way cheaper on the peels, but they don't have any knowledge on how to use chemical peels. You need to sue, and salons should stop doing these. I feel sorry for you, and I hope you didn't pay any money for this.

  • I'm so sorry. ): I hope your face is doing much better now.

  • well your skin might be like that but atleast you are still pretty youll get over it,,miss beautiful :p

  • i feel like a walking wound

  • omg

  • Very interesting that so many people's response is "SUE!" What about checking the credentials for the person who'll be putting ACID on your face?!?!?! These kind of peel should be done be a licensed MEDICAL (clinical) Esthetician or Physician only!!! Why would in this consumer informed internet age do people not RESEARCH!?!?!? I am very sorry for this young ladies experience, she was trying to solve a problem and trusted someone to apply a peel. I hope you healed well. update video?

  • @17Sounder you're absolutely right, I've healed but my skin is not as it was before. I would not sue, because I claim half the responsibility for as you say not doing the proper research. However, the full circumstances are not illustrated - I am showing here what goes wrong. At the time of the facial, I was not aware that it was anything other than a facial, not a chemical peel! I do however stand firm that this should not have been done to me in the first place - they did harm me.

  • @Onnaloves plzzzzzzz sue them,u will save someone else from this

  • @Onnaloves Do you have any idea as to what they did wrong? Left it on for too long, or did'nt check your skin sensitivity?

  • Comment removed

  • @Onnaloves i am sure you make a mistake, maybe you go outside during sun is hype. or you using astringent or strong soap.

  • I'm sorry that you had results that were unexpected. Perhaps the salon used a tca (medium depth) peel solution as opposed to a glycolic or the glycolic was left on too long. Either way, hoping that you've healed by now :) Thank you for warning others about the negative side of chemical peels!

  • @Jannsmith there shouldn't be a "negative side" when the peel is done by an educated Licensed Clinical Esthetician. Unfortunate that some basic license yahoo is allowed to do peels. Please contact your congressman to change the laws concerning who can administer Chemical Peels. Your warning should be- "Inform Yourself!" As you would do for any procedure concerning your body......*sigh*

  • @17Sounder - Seeing the horror stories (there was another person who had a tca peel, actually posted on youtube, and the doctor and nurse apparently didn't do the procedure correctly) on here is enough to just deal with the skin that I have without using skin peels :)

  • wow but dont worry youll love your skin once it cures but ouch

  • You went for a microdermabrasion and they did a glycolic peel instead? Or in addition?

  • OUCH!

  • I just did my first TCA peel last night and I had no idea Neosporin was not the antibacterial ointment to use. Thanks for that info! I'm so sorry about your mishap. I've done 3 GA peels on my face, the last at 25% and all it did was cause larger pores and acne w/ scars after. But for my body GA seems to make skin very soft, smooth & scars diminished with only 1 use at 25%. I plan only using GA for body ONLY (scars on back and legs). I do everything at home and I'm an AA so I'm careful.

  • u used too strong of shit

    imo

  • You should seriously sue them for everything they're worth.

  • I hope you sue them....

  • Acne scars

  • I have my peels done in a Drs office

  • H i just curious is this something you did at home or went to a professional?

Also what % was the acid

  • I'm sorry :( did it get better?

  • Your dumb, it's supposed to scab up and after a few days the skin when you WASH it falls off and then you have fresh new layers under the dead skin. It's SUPPOSED to do it

  • you should sue, not just for yourself but so no one else has to go through this

  • please tell me you are filling a suit against the salon?

  • you have the same chain like marge simpsons :)

  • I hope you've recouped that peel. I finally did, even though the peel left me with a few enlarged pores where the impurities where trying to surface. I started using my old school facial brush and a gentle cleanser, a once-a-week home dermabrasion kit, and genifique. My skin is finally getting back to a some what normal state. I will never try a glycolic peel again after that fiasco.

  • i hope your pressing charges agains the salon.

  • I use 50% Glycolic acid at home & been using it for 7yrs now, i had a couple of trial & errors when i first started using it, i had a tiny bit of scabbing & wheeping but nothing like you had goin on there, then i found out what worked best for me ( leaving it on 3- 5 mins instead of 7) and its works perfectly.

  • you should sue them....that's ridiculous. good luck with the recovery!

  • Wow i'd love to know what strength the glycolic peel was, I use a 10% toner and even that makes my skin peel slightly. It must have been at least a 25% solution

  • though about buying it, just changed my mind. THANK YOU SO MUCH, you may have just saved me from having the same problem. I am a teenager and I think i am going to wait it out or just go 2 a dermatologist. You helped me and many others more than you know!!!

  • aww i know how you feel! i used to do glycolic peels at home and stopped for a while, when i started again i used a stronger solution, 40% or 50% i think, and i left it on for longer, and let me tell you- the results were not good at all!! my skin was burned and water and puss and all sorts of nasty stuff was leaking from my face, i didn't leave the house for a week! :( it healed fine tho, i still use glycolic acid for my acne scars, i just don't leave it on for as long.

  • You should never get a peal done at a salon or anywhere that is not at a dermatology office. cause for all you know these people might not even know what the heck they r doing. peals r perfectly safe under a dermatologist or professional working with your dermatologist.

  • did you do the peel yourself? if so what peel did you buy?

  • the peel you received should have been a 'superficial' or light peel..meaning, you won't really experience any MAJOR peeling, usually flaking at the most (worst case), because it doesn't penetrate too deeply. but I'm curious to know if the therapist asked you questions about your home care products or medications you were taking, etc. etc. please respond and let me know.. :-) Also what were u using at home to cleanse, exfoliate, tone, moisturize etc? Send the response as a message if you'd like..

  • Comment removed

  • an esthetician or cosmetologist SHOULD NOT administer a peel over 30% WITHOUT being under a doctors license (although many DO,and some DO have the skill and understanding, you must be certain),because now you're penetrating the chemical deeper, and it's so much easier to cause PERMANENT DAMAGE..had this have been ethnic skin, the person may have been damaged for life...if you go to receive a peel ANYWHERE, and the therapist/doctor or whoever does not drill you with questions then u should worry!

  • You know one thing to always be careful of is whether a cosmetologist or esthetician is performing your peel of ANY SORT..cosmetologist do not get trained on the theory, application, removal etc of peels, but they are able to legally perform them..estheticians ARE trained on theory, application and removal, BUT, is that estheticians skilled and knowledgeable? Also, there are "superficial peels","medium peels" and "deep peels"..that just categorizes them based on penetration, results etc.

  • I just did a VI Peel(dark skin) It's suppose to start stripping this weekend...the dermatologist did say I would continuously see results by mid-month... I do know ure suppose to strip but not strip it. Use sunblock afetr peel

  • Are you sure they didn't do a dermabrasion? Because that's what you like. If this is the case, regardless of how awufl this week is, you're going to love what you see in the mirror soon.

  • What strength was the peel and how long did they leave it on?

  • @Onnaloves: Now I'm thinking all of the impurities began to come to the surface, but then the skin hardened over it and it's all trapped below the surface or absorbed back into the skin and I have a big blemish there. I'm really not happy that I spent the money that I did for these results.

  • @Onnaloves: It's been 8 days, the small bumps have diminished, but my skin is still right either. I have a large bump that formed on my right lower cheek area. I called the office where I had the procedure performed and they basically said it was good that I was having the small white pus-filled bumps forming, because that meant the gylcolic acid was pulling out the impurities, but this large one on my cheek area didn't form all the way.

  • I now have small bumps on my forehead and a few on my cheeks. The bumps on my chin are starting to diminish, but some are dried out. I couldn't go out in public w/o putting some mineral make up on, but I absolutely hate having to wear that amount of make up to mask my skin. Does anyone who has had a peel done know how long it will take for my skin to be back to a semi-normal state? I've been gently cleansing my skin and moisturizing with some hypo-allergenic.

  • That sounds horrid, my skin is still not right RT @exoticlady3scanines I now have small bumps on my forehead and a few on my cheeks

  • I'll be checking back to see how things turned out, because I just got my first glycolic peel last Friday, February 4th, 2011. I had some faint acne scars/pitting that I wanted to smooth out. The evening after the peel was fine, but the next morning, I woke up with a bunch of small (white pus-filled) bumps all along my chin, then it continued as the days went on.

  • Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry this happened to you! How are you doing now??

  • What were those capsules?

  • @mdog242 Thank you - This video was filmed 24hrs after, and shortly after I got treatment and proper care instruction from the Plastic surgeon. Something I was not advised at the Beauty Salon and would have risked permanent scarring without proper due care. TBH I was in shock a couple of days so could not react really.

  • @ThatOneGuy410 subsequent videos are not chronological, some are from before the incident. My skin is still sensitive as a result of the chemical burn. The plastic surgeon really did save my skin from scarring, wounds left untreated like that will get infected and cause further scarring. Beauty salons do not issue prescription antibiotics to deal with the sort of damage they can inflict when they are not fully trained to do peels - as is the case here.

  • ive seen glycolic peel.. or some sort of "peel" that looks worse then yours...but like a month later there skin is flawless. How can u tell if it gone wrong or not? i've seen worse and i was like WTH.. but apparently its suppose to look like that. And yours doesnt seem as bad as the ones i've seen and later on had great results. Maybe yours is bumpy and i cant see it?

  • @KyoraLove Trust me, this was not what I ordered. Chemical peels are not supposed to look like this. Many beauty salons get away with abusing people, The plastic surgeon I saw had to issue treatment, without it there would have been significant risk of further infection, and uneven recovery. If a peel does look deep, it's supposed to be even, not mottled.

  • jesus you should sue them hope it gets better tho! x

  • forget those creams slap loads of germoline on you will be surprised i hope it heals soon but keep these vids as evidence go to a solicitor they need suing

  • You need to sue. Omg.

  • OMG! I hope you are OK when all is said and done. Skin can take a lot of punishment and come back right as rain, but I'm so sorry to hear of your callus treatment by the so-called 'beauty' salon. You should heal up, document the process and sue the bastards.
