Hi there! I think her voice has become even better and richer over the years. I recently listened to some of her 1950's music and then The Performance from 2009. No comparison - 2009 much better!

We hope to see our Shirl again sometime soon...

Of course I wish it could have been better, but with dress circle seats and only a Kodak Zi8 (bought specifically for this show!) and an external mic this was the best I could do. Next time (!) hopefully a zoom lens could help.

Still wish she had done some 'Performance" material though - but most of the Carnegie crowd who loved Shirley still hadn't heard of it! Sad I know....

YOU did a great job , if it was not for you we would have nothing!! When I first seen this, I was livid. I thought I missed a BASSEY show. THANK GOD it was a benefit. OH I still would have loved to attend , BUT after BASSEY I would have left. SHIRLEY looked like a 10 kt diamond and the rest of them looked like a lead setting holding it. BASSEY is to elegant. SHE belongs alone !! SHE can command an audience like no other !!! Also WONDERFUL, I met SHIRLEY. @Raingod329
