  • I hate when the next video part is not in the suggested links!

  • Thank you.

    Sincerely.

  • i dont care what everyone says tool is great they're my favourite band but guns n roses have made some really great songs and have amasing song writing ability(or had)

  • We needed something with substance and Tool provided that and so much more!! Even Grunge wasn't quite doing it. We desperately needed something to really chew on. A band with anxt, substance, intelligence and more talent than one band should be allowed to have. It was a beautiful time and I am still so grateful and honored to get to still listen and see them. Spiral out my friends!! Thank you for posting!!

  • I hate Guns N Roses with a PASSION.

  • @Zeloim23 Guns N Roses was my favorite band...when I was 11 :)

  • @novembre8211 Axl Rose makes me angry. And their music is bad. End of . ;)

  • This was great! If your a Tool fan that check this out

  • Sicc dude Thank you for the upload!

  • @davidholmes282 You are very welcome. Spiral out... XOXO Natalie

  • Wait a minute, in the late 80s there was hair metal? And guns and roses was the leader of all these bands? And then Tool made similar music, but it was different cause they despised the whole metal scene that had taken over LA?

So far i've learned alot from this documentary, next thing their gonna tell me is that Tool had a second bassist.

    .......................................

  • am from Engalnd and hated that big hair soft american rock............glam whatever you wanna call it......i was brought up on 70s English rock,,,Led Zep,Yes,King Crimson,Pink Floyd..........i do enjoy other styles of music....but there was a gap in the rock world....for me personally.....until Tool,Alice in Chains.........great upload..Cheers.............Peace,Take care...love from Manchester England..

  • god damn poison sucked

  • @MountAnalogue bret micheals = hawt

  • Ok, that is from "Breaking Open the Head: A Psychedelic Journey Into the Heart of Contemporary Shamanism" -Daniel Pinchbeck I'm not aware of Jung talking on the subject, though he may have, but he certainly didn't originate the concept. I'm sure you've wondered if an instance was more than mere coincidence--people say: "maybe the universe is trying to tell me something." According to Pinchbeck, shamans believe it is indeed a message from the universe, and we should listen.

  • @HunkyTalkenMonkey01 Basically, pay attention to the context surrounding the synchronicity--what were you feeling when it occurred--what were you doing, etc... It's a great book, by the way. Anyway, I hope that helps.

  • all theses pics are from the magazine.. revolver ultimate review.. great magazine btw... lots of good info about tool!!!!!

  • ShroomSamich I agree, i dont mean to say they re the nest band in the world cuz there will always be that person "no theyre not blah blah blah.." but shit man those guys have created music that has raised the bar pretty fucking high, not just anyone pulls off an albumn like Lateralus. too good, sometimes underappreciated.

  • GReen JellO!

  • neurochris in answer to your question tools music could indeed change the world what you drastically fail to realise is that people like them command more power than polititions do fuck all except set their own agenda and control people , if every musicion in the world forced the idea of freedom upon their fans to the point of success they would be the new rulers...however bands like tool are trying to push for a better, safer world , not violent satanism.

  • if the world of music even took consideration of 1/4 of what tool has done then we'd all be totally different

  • Hey shroom ive been listening to tool for quite a while and i really like the sound of their music but do you think that alone could change the world? I feel like i sometime miss the message in tool because their lyrics are so cryptic but thats fine i wouldnt want it any other way. I usually just like the sound of the word anyway.

  • @neurochris I have listened to Tool for a LONG time...just enjoy it...Tool would laugh at someone thinking their music is going to "Change the world" Maynards lyrics are very deep...but interpret them how you want or dont interpret them at all..your choice

  • I do doubt that that they would ever use that language: "we're gonna change the world with our music!" but, I do believe they have some altruistic motivations for making the art that they do. They have to know by now that they are touching peoples lives.

  • I think the best Maynardism I have heard on the subject is "There must be suomething to what we are doing that has brought us to the place we are now...talking about Tool" its from an excerpt of an interview with Maynard done by a college professor...check it out if you have never read it before.....best Maynard interveiw IMO ever

  • Funny you should mention that interview. Just two nights ago I came across that very interview! You might know this: shamans believe that synchronicities are a sign that an individual is on the correct path and they are to be paid the greatest attention.

But yeah, it was a great interview; one of my favs as well.

  • @HunkyTalkenMonkey01 That's interesting please tell me more!

  • @JiubLink I'll do my best. What, specifically, about these comments is interesting?

  • @HunkyTalkenMonkey01 " synchronicities are a sign that an individual is on the correct path and they are to be paid the greatest attention."

    Sounds like Jung.

  • Btw, the "Tool - bigger than jesus" video relates to my original reply to your comment. maybe check it out. Peace =)

  • ok i will

  • (Y)

  • @ShroomSamich Eat less shrooms, motherfucker!

  • maynard is a friggin genius

  • why are they searching excuses for the music tool creates? xD

that's just another silly MTV-style doc

everytime they present avangarde bands they

do it in a "oh, but they rock! you see?"-manner xD

  • Tool isn't avant garde at all.

  • i hate people. i hate all these people in the doc and i hate al;vjh askl; asjklhdfjkld;as vhaskl;hvil;asjb

  • xD looooool

  • I love these documentaries on the history of my favorite bands

  • guns n roses was not a glam band! I'm probably one the few Tool/gnr fans, lol.

  • Hell no man! I love GnR. They were my favorite before Tool came along. Still both my favorite bands

  • Tool and Guns are two of my favorites but to call Maiden glam is a big insult there's no glam what so ever in albums like The Number of the Beast or Powerslave non what so ever just awesome heaviness

  • @donneric I stand corrected, Seriously don't know what I was thinking associating Maiden with glam. I think GLAM is an expression of fashion, NOT music. It is an insult to any ROCK band you ascribe it to.

  • why dont you stop looking for a fight. thats not cool. nobody likes an egotistic asshole. sorry.

  • im not so sure about that zippy i think some might but i see your point

  • I am a fan of all three, three of my favorite bands. Iron maiden is not glam at all.

  • your not alone dude

  • at least!

  • great A TOOL DOCUMENTAL!!!!!!!!
