@ChristianMusicianPGB Any time.. the build schedule is a bit tight but that's life.. I really enjoyed building this guitar though and there will be many more like it!
@JackTheLever thank you! Brilliantly crazy guitars are the best kind to build! Our custom work starts at around £1800.. this beast though was ultra complicated and was closer to £3000.. bear in mind that we don't build any thing that is 'stock'.. whatever you can dream of we can make! :)
@skipper41a sorry, I have no clue I was just riffing away, I probably got the idea from something I heard years ago but it's beyond me to remember what.. :)
@earlminor Yes indeed, the guy who builds the touch pad to control the kaoss pad etc custom built and programmed a computer chip/preamp to run everything.. very very clever!
@Subaro0o hah! wait for the next one, I agree that there can be too much on a guitar but these are very fun.. the next one, in a les paul sty;e, will have the touch pad and three seperate fx pedals, chorus, fuzz, flange, plus various digital reverbs.. I do say I like a challenge! :)
@crimsonguitars fastest response ever!! well I'm glad you're checking your youtube frequently.. so did u have to take apart a kaoss pad to build this or was this an extension module??
@Subaro0o I'm sitting at the computer rebuilding my website.. any distraction is welcome! extension module, basically it is a control surface that sends MIDI to the kaoss pad, or digital whammy etc.. to put an entire kaoss pad in a guitar would require a laptop battery or two and would be much more difficult.
@crimsonguitars oh cool, ive seen people take apart the kaoss pad and steal the touch suface and put it in the guitar and then run a serial cable back to the kaoss pad and then midi out from there.. which is way more shit to do i guess.. where do u get the parts?
@Subaro0o yeah, I heard about that too, I wouldn't even consider messing with the actual kaoss pad.. the controller is about $140 I think.. just google kaoss guitar controller and you'll find it. The clever bit is in the chip the guy has programmed, I think he's under charging!
This is so hardcore. That amp is too. I want both.
