this is such a wonderful heartbreaking vid. i love it so much! the song is perfect. i happen to think its even better without the voice-overs it gives it brevity that dialogue wouldn't give it. the looks of pain on their faces is enough to convey the message of sorrow and wanting to love but not being brave enough to keep it. very well done i hope you make more of XMFC. :)
Very nice. This covers a lot of stuff that I doubt anyone's really vidded - and so well too :)
That being said, you've asked for a bit of concrite (and I'm evil enough to give it :p).
I'd recommend that you try and use different methods of transition; the dissolve (??) you've used is good but at times it's a little inappropriate (it'd be better for the tambourine?? parts). I'd suggest you try using Gaussian Blur (0.240 or 0.360) on the beat changes.
I'd also recommend you use a couple of voice-overs; "you're not alone" "let him go" "killing shaw..." "peace was..." "mutations like ours... never deemed beautiful..." "I'll never tell them..." etc. They'd give this more impact, especially considering the story you're trying to tell. :)
And I'll shut up now (well, I will once I say this;)

That's exactly the kind of criticism I needed ! :D Well, the transitions are not my forte, I have a lot of things to learn in that department... I'll try to work with the one you say next time! OMY. Loved this. There is something to be said for an x-men video that delves into the entirety of the story in xmfc, including the subplots that are not exactly shippy. (ie I'm not ready/ and the erik/raven and Charles/moira... this vid, with the flashbacks and there's still no doubting that charles and erik are eachothers most important relationship. Truly epic vid. I will admit I cried.
I'm not crying. Nope. Totally not crying. There's just... there's something in my eye, that's all.
Oh my lord... This was absolutely gorgeous! The song choice (OUCH MY HEART), the editing... Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful!
