Honestly this song is quite awesome. The new album is like their best behind Wolves. Not one bad song. The acoustic CD is equally amazing. It shows that even though Rancid is a punk band, they are the most diverse and musical in their genre. Unless you count the Clash, but each time I hear "Rock the Casbah" my love for the Clash dies a tiny bit.

I was at this show. It the song was... ... weird. I can only think that it's one of those songs that sounds good on the album. Matt's voice was great though. The music was just as muddled and strange as the recording, so you're not missing much seeing this.

No studio videos or demos. I mean i understand the situation with Brett leaving but the past 4-5 years have been really frustrating.

Do you play music? and if so, have you recorded an album? Anyone that's worked in the studio can tell you that recording an album can take a long, long, long, LONG time. There's magical session where everything works perfectly the first take, but then there's days where you can spend six hours working, and end up with literally 10 seconds of music. and my guess is that Rancid's promoters run their website, so blame them for the lack of updates.

Yes I actually do play music, and yes I have been in the recording studio recording an album. I KNOW it takes a long, long, long time! I know the frustrations as well as triumphs which can occur in the studio. And yeah i know promoters probably run the site, but they promised all sorts of studio videos and pictures, and then there'd be like 6 months of nothing. I understand their situation, it was just frustrating.

Me and my friend got to the place like 3 hour before doors opened. SO we walk down the side walk past the bus and I see these kids from a band I know who had been waiting there all morning.They were like dude Lars and Matt just walked in! A few minutes later lars came outside and was talkin to the roadies kinda walking back and forth into the stage area a few times before he just came right over to us and started shaking everyones hand. I used to be a huge fan (and still am) since 1993,.. why has this album release been postponed for so long?? Maybe their not satisfied with their own material. This song doesn't have the real energy or feeling like much of their older stuff and I'm not talking about Industructible. I don't have high expectations since the release of their last album unfortunately,.. but I still love the older stuff and what it used to mean to me when I was younger. Everyone evolves eventually.

actually,.. I still happen to be a huge fan of Rancid,.. I hitchhiked 2400 miles to go see them once and have my own customized tattoo of AOCTW's on my arm. I've listened to them since '93 and know the extent of Tim's accomplishments as a musician. I idolize him sincerely and know he has many true to the heart followers. I really can't wait for this new album to finally arrive, there will be some amazing songs on this new album. The wait will definately be worth it for everyone who's into RANCID
