Well, I have no respect or liking for jesusfreak at all! Any man who said that he would kill his daughter if he believed god told him to it, is a sick person. No one, no thing, could ever convince me to kill my child, or anyone for that matter, but especially my child. Jesusfreak made that statement about killing his kid, more than once. I just can't understand anyone who could say such a thing.
You seem like an honest man & I think that's critical, regardless of which way someone believes.
Great video! I hope you find what you're looking for. Everyone has a God-shaped hole in their soul that we try to fill with everything else to feel whole or complete or something, and wonder why life sux or lacks meaning. God doesn't need people to believe in Him or love Him, the truth is, we need Him.
I'm not sure if you understood what I was saying in this, I don't really think I need a god, but the god shaped hole you mentioned is intresting, maybe in the time we are now alot of people do have that.
Very thoughtful response. Many Christians quote parts of the Bible in their attempts to enlighten non Christians. It's almost as if they think Atheists believe deep down.
I once asked a Christian the same question about hell. To be honest I was hoping they would think about it from a perspective not influenced by just the Bible. I was hoping they would think about the ethical implications of the situation.
Of coarse this was foolish. They assumed I was looking for the answer in the Bible.
The answer I give you is "No". Simply becasue our sins are forgiven in the blood of Jesus Christ does not give us the 'license' to sin. This is expressed in Colossians.
According to the New Testament, people who truly believe in Christ truly are made new. Jesus calls all to rpeentance (that is TURNING away from your sins and trusting in God) in righteousness, to serve God.
Any who think they have license to sin becasue they believe are not true Christians as they mock God to His face.
Hmm, I am doing to make an assumptin here, and It goes like this:
Athiests are slaves? Well If not to make this too long I will just say what Jesus said in John 8:34 - "Whoever commits sin is a slave of sin."
If I a professing follower of Jessu Christ go off this evrse, then I'd say that not just Athiests in particular are slaves, but any who sin are slaves - slaves to sin.
We are in the bondage of sin form early times, but Chrost can break that bondage and make us free.
"best for all members of society" thats exactly what I said, its decided by the local society
As far as "sin" goes....you can make up whatever definition of that you like. I have trouble giving it any more credit than the local societies "beliefs" on right and wrong, because "sin" has changed over the years also.
his point was "right and wrong" is defined by the local society. Take for example, it used to be not only legal, but socially acceptable and GOOD to have multiple wives, as is mentioned in the bible at many places. Now (other than in the middle east and a few other areas) multiple wives is viewed as "bad" and is no longer socially acceptable.
wrong read the Bible Jesus said many will say Lord Lord but I will say depart from me you worker of lawlessness. Also the wages of sin is death it is a second death see ref Revelations 21:8. plus Jesus died for our sin and if it was eternal punishment then he would have to gone to hell for eternity.
We differ in the belief of creation; an atheist chooses science, man as creator, and worships death. Spiritual man believes that humanity has a greater destiny than death.
Those who's Lord is Christ, would not do such acts because they are abhorrent to God. Such a man who would do those acts can call himself any name he chooses but he is not of God.
And right and wrong are absolute, moral equivalency is simply childish ignorance; an emotional response to excuse oneself of negativity.
I think a person could kill 200-300 children, have alot of homosexual sex, drink, do drugs, and still make it into heaven without accepting Christ. Jesus Christ does not exist.
The concept of right and wrong - Sin is not real.
That would depend on whether or not you think truth and/or morality is absolute. I can deny the laws of gravity. But if I jump off a tall building, I will quickly become a believer in the laws of gravity. There are proofs of God and creation. Just seek it. And God will open your eyes. Get a copy of The Exodus Case or a DVD called The Exodus Revealed. FYI, over 200 cultures have legends of a world-wide flood.
Why do you think the legends originated? Such a vast number of legends would have to be based on something factual. That is simple logic, no? Like I said, The Exodus Case and The Exodus Revealed will give the evidence that you seek....archaeological proof of an actual Red Sea crossing and the real location of Mt. Sinai.

You think similar to me... I find no logic in I can murder, rape, drink, molest or whatever and be saved and go to heaven because I know Jesus.
Good people that do good things are going to Hell because they don't know Jesus. Great response video!

If there was a world wide flood the sediment would show a pattern.
