mine is much faster due to btrfs root (defaults,noatime,ssd,compress=lzo).
Btrfs is considered unstable, so do that on your own risk. I have a backup hdd at home. And never do that to your /boot - GRUB will go on strike. You need a separate /boot partition

@anakin1337 it's a custom kernel (like kernel-netbook in AUR) with /drivers/video/logo source images replaced.
