  • I appreciate your expertise. I am learning alot. At 47 I have not performed the power clean or power snatch until recently. I have been doing it incorrectly and look forward to improving my form with the help of this video.

  • would it be a bad idea to do the warm up close to a wall? to keep the feet in line and to keep the bar close to the body?

  • @rathmao-- this is a common skill transfer set, performed at all CrossFit affiliates and naming it gives us common ground. In that respect, it is exaclty what CrossFitters want--any CrossFit affiliate will immediately know what you are talking about. This warm up is used for all snatch workouts, not just tose performed from the hang or high hang positions. Check out CrossFit. Happy Lifting!

  • these kind of warm ups is a very common thing in olympic weightlifting and i think the very name "Burgener Warm-up" is somewhat misleading........Mr.Burgener may have good intentions teaching a good olympic lifting technique but giving it his name is not what people are looking for...!!...better to put the name as "hang snatch warm up"...:):)
