@ganon133 - as an experienced waverider myself and someone with whom the ocean has a profound connection with, I can tell you that the waves are usually biggest around 10am when the sun and the moon have reached optimum pull on the oceans waters, creating powerful breakers EXACTLY like those you see here.

I, Jerry Langton, Jeff Johnston and Arnie Burke grew up surfing 2nc St. Hermosa Beach. 1964 was surf like this. I think they all went out and I watched. No way was i going to be killed in that heavy thick water walls. This vid brings back good memories.
