  • His bad knee happened

  • Seriously what happend

  • I was there! i was stoked when I found out my boss had one of his season tickets free for me. too bad we lost the game and then the series.

  • anyone who knows cheechoo knows that he isn't the best of skaters, he sees Ryan coming and stops and prepares himself to get hit, he didn't deliberately hit him.

  • did we win?

  • Watch cheatchoo 1:10 see the pick? cheatchoo saw Bobby Ryan and knocked him down. Should have been an interference call and the goal shouldn't have been scored, but of course when teams play against the Ducks the whistle just seems to disapear.

  • shut up, ducks suck

  • yeh if we suck then you guys suck even more

we beat you so badly :)

  • if cheechoo fell down instead of Ryan do you think they would of called interference on ryan? i dont think so, i think they just kinda ran into each other on accident.

  • @xsasxninjax Bullshit they "just kinda ran into each other". Cheatchoo CLEARLY turns his body into Ryan and knocks him to the floor. Are you really that blind?

  • What a great goal, fakes out one of the best defensemen in the league and makes him fall, then goes the opposite way of his momentum with the shot. Too bad he could be on his way out. We loved and always will love you in SJ, Cheech!.

  • I know, sad that when this team needs to find heart they are willing to part with one of the hardest workers on the team today.

  • You said it. And he ALWAYS played well against the Ducks, as I think someone already said. It stinks he was not given more of an oppurtunity to prove himself in the series.

  • I think Cheech will stay, if Doug Wilson is smart, he would keep him and give him another chance.

  • @danynumero6 do u still agree with your statement?

  • Well obviously not now cuz we got Heatley, I'm happy we have him. If Cheechoo RIGHT NOW was on a better team, he would be scoring more.

  • Doug Wilson and sharks Coach didnt learn a lesson in the playoffs? they didnt see the thornton assissts and chechoo goals. wow!

  • Cheech was one of the few players that played well in the playoffs for us.

  • im sure people said this already but... interference! i guess it takes a dirty play for chechoo to show up ; ) great shot though!

  • wow bassmonkey you are a faggot, ducks fans suck cock, San Jose is louder during intermission then in Anaheim when the ducks score. When someone scores a goal like this why cant you have the decency to post something like camalpuddle

  • that's assmonkey to you, son

  • ... san jose is not louder during intermission then in anaheim when the ducks score. you just made yourself sound like a dumbass. dont be sad that the sharks suck

  • listen to you with the worst comeback EVER, then again I'd expect that from a ducks fan, I would be sad if the sharks suck, good thing they don't, however I am disappointed that they didn't beat a team with considerably less talent then them, especially when they are after all, the best team in the NHL. Do you notice how people say the sharks choke? that is insinuating that they believe the sharks should have had an easy win, "dumbass"

  • do u have proof of this idiotic claim?... i thought so.

i have actually never notice anyone say that sharks choke, ur the first one i heard that from. i personally think that the ducks are a more skilled, maybe ull see that when the ducks win the division next year. even barry melrose predicted the ducks to win, but not like he knows anything bout hockey right? your definitely waaaaay smarter than him when it comes to hockey.

  • shut*

  • do u have any actual proof of this preposterous claim?

i have never heard anyone say that the sharks choke. besides shark fans. personally i think the ducks are more skilled, maybe, u will see that when the ducks win their division. i have heard from no nhl experts that they choked or had an easy win. even barry melrose predicted that ducks to win that series, but not like he knows anything about hockey though huh? u obvisously know more than him with claims like "the shark fans are louder"

  • bull shit everyone says they choked, in face thats the number one thing i hear about when people bash the sharks. and you dont even talk to nhl experts so shit the fuck up

  • I was in the lower bowl when that goal was scored. amazing. reminds me of the Cheech goal against the canadiens that's shown all the time.

  • derekrebholtz9

You wanna question my loyalty? I have been a fan since Game One, Season 1, so don't make me out to be a bandwagoner, asswipe.

  • haha bassmonkey1962, i aint gonna start an internet war, I'm mostly saying the comment should focus on what an amazing goal it is, rather then how loyal you are, seems like you are a little self conscious of it.

  • and banderson125, I wouldn't talk about getting missed penalties, Pronger should get one every shift. Please just take the goal as what is, a great goal.

  • haha I love how ridiculously uncoordinated he is as a skater but how ridiculously well he does in the NHL. Truly one of the most hard working and inspirational players in the league.

  • Cheechoo should have had an interference penalty on bobby ryan right before this goal. I give the refs the credit. too bad all there efforts to get the sharks the win didn't pay off!

  • Yeah i couldn't believe that was not called. I guess it was because it was so far behind the play, but the ducks did receive too many borderline calls against them. It's alright though. The sharks can keep trying to be cute on the Power Play and we will keep winning! Go Ducks!

  • Man that was one incredible goal. Just another one of many that has been scored against the Quacks :p Cheech never respects them...

  • Funny I should see you here royale lol.

  • whats up? You must be from the sharks forum :P

  • yup, marbanasin.

  • You are correct, the series is not done yet. Of course, if your Sharks were UP 2-0, the cockiness mode would be on 11, and you would be insisting the Ducks were as good as dead, and how your team was going to sweep, and how Anaheim sucks, and...well, you get the picture.

  • this series isn't done yet, the caps got a big road win tonight vs the rangers. GO SHARKS GO

  • I stand corrected, missroseline, i misread your message. i thought you were a Sharks fan.

  • What a sick goal thats the true skill of cheechoo

  • The funny thing here is, had the Ducks NOT made play offs, I would have DEFINITELY rooted the Sharks to the Cup. But, hey, my team comes first. It wasn't so much i wanted THE SHARKS to win the Stanley Cup, but more an issue of, wouldn't that have been great for 2 out of the 3 California teams to have won it, while the LA Kings still struggle season after season. I respect the Sharks, but right now, I can't show that. Its the LA Kings I truly despise.

  • you despise the kings because they struggle?

they still won the "freeway face off" =P

  • Not because they struggle, but because, regardless of how horrible their seasons are, their fans are still arrogant, and act like they invented hockey.

As for the Freeway Series, congrats, my friend. I have ZERO ill-will towards you. Keep in mind, the Ducks are my team, and I show loyalty. In any other situation, Id be rooting your boys til the end. But, again, consider the situation. Do you expect me to betray my team?

  • of course you should root your team on. :)

as for "my boys," i'm no sharks fan. in fact, i'm rather enjoying their choke job this round. who's my team? the kings =P but i'm not an arrogant jerk so don't hate me, k?

  • haha yeah of course you are loyal bassmonkey1962, when your team is up 2-0 haha noob.

  • the sound??!!

  • Nice to see cheechoo in a flash of his former brilliant self. Those were the plays 50 goal scorer cheechoo made with regularity 4 years ago.

  • Sharks fans seem to have this odd impression that the Ducks are a horrendous team. Yeah, they struggled this season, but, unlike Sharks fans, Im not going to make excuses. Look at how they [finally] came together at the end of the season, and showed they have heart, grit, and determination. If the Ducks win this series, bottom line is, the Ducks were a better team. ANY Sharks fan that wishes to argue that, simply proves, they are sore losers. AGAIN, your team lost, DEAL WITH IT ! ! !

  • "showed they have heart, grit, and determination."

pretty much the qualities the sharks have been lacking in the post-season.

  • I want to say that I'm surprised, but the Sharks are just notorious for this. Sure, Hiller deserves a lot of credit, but these are the President's Trophy winners versus a team that barely made the playoffs for goodness' sake.

  • Yeah but that's hockey, a team can be outstanding and lose to the worst team in the league. That's why we watch, its what keeps us entertained. All hockey players are good hockey players, its just the simple fact if they are consistent or not.

  • Of course upsets can happen, but it's pretty infrequent that we see it occur on an annual basis like we do with the Sharks. I guess firing Ron Wilson was not the answer...

I agree with your point, though. I usually like to see the underdog win, as long it's not at the expense of one of my favourite teams. :)

  • brianedel--

Wow, an upset Sharks fan. Is that the most intelligent post you can whip up? Sorry, facts are facts. Regardless of how you feel about the Ducks, your team is down 2-0. And you're not doing anything to change my opinion of Sharks fans either, while you are at it. Keep up the good work !

  • sharks are good, but they're robots. how about some emotion? personally i'm glad they're getting ousted because they're not terribly fun to watch.

  • Agreed, ppl can knock Cheechoo, but he's all heart. Can't say much for our top line.

  • yeah his goal celebration was like "YES! FINALLY some excitement!!" but i mean, how about thornton's post-game "i'm calm. we'll score eventually. i'm calm." if i were a sharks fan i would have been INFURIATED!!! they won the president's trophy for home ice and were stellar all season at home and then.... CHOKE!

  • Trust me, we are. Joe's an idiot if he thinks we've just been unlucky on 12 straight power plays.

  • I hope San Jose enjoyed their gift-wrapped goal from the refs. Where is the interference call on Cheechoo at 1:10?

Apparently officiating in the playoffs isn't going to improve much from the regular season for Anaheim.

  • Blah, blah...every fanbase thinks the refs are out to get them. Can you be any more cliche?

  • except that it's true, even the san jose announcers were saying that.

  • Comment removed

  • San Jose is doing nothing new here, they're just deciding this year to not prolong the pain of yet another major choke job. Congrats San Joe, choke job almost complete... what a joke of a team.

  • Like I said before this is hockey, just because they won the President's Trophy which by the way is a major accomplishment, doesn't mean a team with more losses in Reg. Season cannot beat them. It's not choking, they are playing their hearts it, but again its hockey and the Ducks are shining.

  • Little reminder, kids. You NOW are going to be coming into Ducks territory. You are down 2-0. The pressure must be agonizing. Make all the excuses you wish, but you can not escape the fact: You are down 2-0. Welcome to Anaheim. And enjoy your golf game next weekend. Oh, but at least you have a Presidents Trophy to keep your souls warm til September.

  • your a faggot bitch so cal pussy, suck my ass
