About the regime change in Turkey, Turkey has a long history of military coups such as in 1960, 1971, 1980 and the most recent 1997. But it has became increasing difficult for US to do so under the current Turkish administration.

About the regime change in Turkey, Turkey has a long history of military coups such as in 1960, 1971, 1980 and the most recent 1997. But it has became increasing difficult for US to do so under the current Turkish administration.
Second choice for US is type of "Arab Spring" approach. That should be much easier to do.

@wikifacts even Kazakhstan? You said serious problem. No country is perfect on their management but at least they have improved significantly over the last year. Like you just said the Mid East is a "screwed" up place but it is mostly have to do with their location.

Libya had excellent relations with Turkey and was a favored economic partner with Libya but when Libya was in trouble Turkey tuned its betrayed Libya and supported Sarkozy who shut the door on Turkey's bid for an EU membership.
Erdogan is using rhetoric about Israel to buy favor with the Arabs but all educated Arabs aren't fooled by the deceit.
Turkey still has full diplomatic relations with Israel and Erdogan is only serving Turkey's interests
