I'm from Argentina, there on the other hand, once there was a big accident during a world rally race. People instead of helping the driver who was trapped between the twisted car, stole the car's Turbo and took off. Very sad

I dont believe you. The turbo bit I mean. Do you have any idea how hot a turbo get's with just normal driving let alone when being pushed hard. I mean even the exhaust pipe at the rear of the WRC cars can be seen glowing sometime's. Not to mention the heat generated by the anti lag system. If the driver was trapped in a WRC then it must have been one of the worst WRC crashes. I guess they just tore it off with no tools at all huh. Not calling you a liar but I doubt it's true.

It is a well known story among rally fanatics in Argentina, but I didn't see it myself happening. Maybe the pilot was trapped long enough for the engine to cool down ? or maybe people used their shirts to handle the hot parts ?, maybe the people who did it had tools in their car ?. It happened over 15 years ago, remember we didn't have a rally in Argentina for a good while. It's possible it might be just a myth, but knowing Argentineans and being one myself my vote is for true.

I call myth. The turbo in my RX7 (300hp) glows lightly with just a regular drive to town & back (5mins) & if pushed, well let's just say its bright, takes awhile to cool. Shirts would burst into flames. Radiant heat alone would stop you getting your hands near it with tools. Plus if the car was trashed enough to trap the driver, I would expect the turbo would be pretty hard to get to. Im sure parts were stolen but i doubt the turbo. Look up any dyno run to see what i mean.

yep but he probably didn't realise how sharp the corner was so he applied the brakes but because of he's body position there wasn't much weight on the back tire so it locked up and caused a slight "tail whip" if he's body positioning was right and he applied the front brake more he would have gotten away with it, but because of he's instinct HIT THE BRAKE! it caused him to crash! Well that's my opinion anyway :)
