@BandK122511 use ice! ive done my lip twice (i keep taking it out cause im a wuss) but what i did was hold the ice cube on the outside where i wanted to pierce and pushed my tongue into it but on the inside of my mouth and waited till i felt the ice and then i pierced it but it only got through a little so i held the ice again and pushed the needle more and i just kept repeating that.... hope i helped in any way at all :)

Ok stop, I am a professional piercer and a safety pin is by far the worst that you can use, if you want to do this at home, surf amazon.com you can get the hollow needles dirt cheap, and there is less risk for infection, trust me it comes from a pro who has been doing this for 10 years running

@ sydneygirl11able If you don't want to use ice the I'd just put an apple slice behind the lip so it doesn't poke you, but you could drink some think cold before you do it. Sorry? I don't really know any other way to numb it.

i did my monroe, lower right lip, septum, tongue web, six on my ears, and the left side of my nose. i took the nose one out because i didnt like it and my monroe cuz my mom, but im re doing my monroe tonight (:
