I'm going to be 64 in 2 weeks...so , yes, I remember all of the Four Lads hits..my mom, she loved all of it...her and her white Emerson Radio in the kitchen ...I sat there and listened to my mother sing along with all the greats of the 50's...what an era..thats when America was America..we were one...
@fromthesidelines I was senior in high school in 1956 and I remember this and other songs by the Four Lads. When I hear these songs they remind me of my youth.
Also a WJDA listener (for far too many more years than generationII), I never tire of hearing this or any other recording by The Four Lads. Their music, like so much of the music from before and up to that era is timeless. Exposure to it helped me become a much more rounded musician.
I want to hear J-Z try singing this

........my head's the lightest from your very slightest touch..
................like a ten cent soda doesn't cost a dime......I don't want you near me..only all the time......
those words stayed with me all my life........;-)

Originally released in January 1956, and the Lads' first big hit of the year that February.

This is one of the moat sentimental songs of many in the 50's. It was for us a wonderful and happy time . Thanks for sharing the song on utube.

I wish people still made music like this. I think I was born in the wrong era.
