  • WE NEED HD VIDEOS OF OZ. HELP! SOMEONE HELP! WE MUST HAVE SOME HIGH QUALITY, HIGH DEF STUFF. THIS MAN IS THE SHIT!!!!!!! SOMEONE COME TO OUR AID.

Will Lee's hopping is a clear indicator that he has more energy than most anyone who has been playing as long as he has. What freakin' energy! Great stuff.

  • Can anyone tell me what this song is called or which album its on? Love it!

  • @acklandb - The cut is named "Chillin" from the CD "Ha!". His stuff is on iTunes.

  • Woo Hoo! Makes me want to dance sideways!

  • Great stuff! I love Will Lee's forever up attitude!

  • those are some tasty grooves

  • Cain't get a deeper pocket than the one that a Keith Carlock and and a Anton Fig can lay down!

  • That was insanely good

  • Lucky enough to live 90 minutes from NYC, have seen Oz with Will Lee, Anton Fig, Eric Johnson sat in one night, and believe it or not, he had a hard time keeping up with OZ! Gets the most perfect sound out of a strat ever, and never repeats the same pattern in different solos.. amazing!

  • @nbseer - I hate you. :-)

  • 2 guys that have no ear

  • I never would have imagined Keith and Oz being suth an epic combination! They should do a couple of gigs together, just the two of 'm !

  • Oz grooves like no other; I love this guys playing and he writes cool tunes.

  • ALWAYS ENERGENIC - reminds me of the Progressive jazz with overtones of R & B with rock we listened in the Cobham and Clarke days (without the keys). The Blues - Rock Power Trio (+1) Lives!! Brillant guitarist Oz Noy...he can play anything!

  • really interesting concept with the two drums and two bass setup...not sure it was worth it, but interesting. Oz kills it though, i like it.

  • @kusanophone Well, when you have two great drummers, they make it sound good :D

  • Its a contest in how many monsters you can get on a gig!!!

  • Chillin' baby!!! Love it. The force is with you Oz, yes indeed.

  • He has such a great groove! totally in the pocket =]

btw what's this tracks name ?

  • @Virons2

    Chillin'

  • This totaly blew me away -- I can't wait to see Anton play this monday with OZ... But a dream team like this would be a real treat live :)

  • Dear GOD Oz Noy can freaking rip. Favorite jazz guitarist by far. Combine him with Keith Carlock and you find an unforgettable live show. AMAZING!

  • Why 2 drummers?????????????????????

  • stereo my friend stereo ! :)

  • and because they CAN. Try laying down a fat groove like that with two normal drummers.

  • ...and 2 bass players! James Genus on doublebass, and Will Lee on electric bass!

    Why?

Because it's just great to have 2 different dream team for the groove & the sound!!

  • It worked for the Grateful Dead. More bands should have 2 drummers. Besides, that's nothing compared to the polyrhythmic insanity you hear in some African bands that have 5 or 10!

  • Playing drum set within the context of a band... along with a second drum set player can be a massive pain in the ass.

I enjoy playing duos with drum set players, but having another one in on a set has only been trouble for me, personally.

  • The more bad dudes on the gig...the more people they will bring. haha. This is a killin group!

  • GREAT vid, but... it starts and ends rather strangely. At the very beginning, who is "Ab Noy"? And at the very end, Oz teleports! o.O

Maybe as you approach the speed of funk, your name and relative spatial positioning start losing their grip.

  • Nice composition!!!

    Keep doing music man!!!

  • Just heard Oz with Lee and Fig in June. Killer sounds and groove! These shitty sounding vids don't do him justice, but thanks for them anyway! How about that Will Lee? Who said white men can't jump?

  • If you like this....check out Wayne Krantz.

  • I personally think Oz is better. He plays with less caution. His tone can be so versatile too. I recently saw this lineup perform minus Will Lee, and it totally blew my mind. So freaking good. Oz was really cool, and the sound was just flawless. Best show I've ever seen in my life.

  • Oz Noy is blowing my mind...loved "Ha!" and loving "Fuzzy". He is all hiw own with a dash of Mike Stern and Jeff Beck and with some Stevie Ray Vaughn in his tone. I dig that he plays a Stratocaster!

  • he's the new jeff beck. he's so good it hurts my feelings.

  • @thad99 Well said. This guy is off the charts.

  • Wayne Krantz is a great guitarist if you like Oz. Keith Carlock also plays with him.

  • wowee!!! wicked band...

  • What egoless musicianship. Talk about a breath of fresh air.

    Play Nashville!

  • Nels Cline. similarly innovative, ridiculous chops

  • Makes me want to quit playing guitar. He's to fucking good.

  • If anyone can suggest any other guitarists similar to this plz do. I freakin lovce this tune!!

  • Wayne Krantz is equally crazy and undefinable. Keith Carlock also plays drums with him.

  • or Cazio, who is also the man

  • Cazio is most definitely the man. How's about we smoke a fat zoot to this banger?

  • mmmhhhmmmm!!!! I got the live cd. Everyone reading this-GO and buy OZ Live NOW :-).

  • this guy has a healthy dose of Bill Frisell running thru his veins. Pretty awesome.

  • And Scofield, don't you hear Sco? But alot more of his own too. I'm listening to him more than anyone else at the moment and he is A-Maze-ing.

  • Plus he's made effects cool on guitar again. I want to him to play my wedding. Now I just have to find a girl to propose to and I'll be all set.

  • @nnonnth I hear alot of scofield as well personally.

  • WOWEEEEE!!!!

  • Wow...two drummers, two bassists and they pull it off. Impressive

  • wicked band...

  • oznoy is vey groovy man, really good guitar player keith is the drummer of this times.
