Ok come on. Put poor kids to work? We wont keep schools in poorer areas open and now that they have to be sent to schools where the wealthier kids are, they should have to clean toilets for them. Gingrich actually said in Iowa that he would like to send marshals to arrest judges that he felt were 'activists'. He feels the judicial branch should be eliminated. Out of all the asinine things newt has said in his lifetime, this takes the cake. It does make sense if your goal is a totalitarian government, which newt has helped to manifest.

If you think Bush spent alot of money by bailing out the banks, Obama did 10x worse by bailing out every company that probably should have gone bankrupt. Along with that, the billions that have been wasted on green technology companies, and has been wasted. TRILLIONS of spending for social healthcare that we cannot afford, even with raising taxes, which is of course a bad idea. The list could go on, and on, and on.....

@mcclintocksherman1 Tax breaks? Obama simply extended existing tax cuts that were implemented by Bush. He didn't provide anything else. He went along with extending the cuts further, knowing it would be economic disaster if he let the code go back to what Clinton killed us with in the 90's. So no, Obama has done literally nothing ot help this country.
The ONLY good thing Obama has done, is he authorize the permanent extinguishing of that slime-ball hiding out in Pakistan.
@PatriotCondor Bush gave tax breaks to the richest only. Obama tax cuts were for people who dont have trust funds. CSPAN, MSNBC, FOXNEWS. Watch them sometime. They arent just there to make the cable guide look better
You need to read that bill, and the current tax code. Obama instituted virtually no new tax cuts for anyone. Almost all tax cuts were previously on the books and signed into law in 2000. They were to expire in 2010, but Obama extended them to prevent further econnomic collapse, which was needed. I am in the middle class, and my neighbors in the lower income bracket. We recieved NO ADDITIONAL tax cuts when Obama extended the original bill from 2000.
@PatriotCondor I have and I understand what I have read. I will break down what our conversation is about. Republicans say Obama is the worst president we ever had and make feable claims to the fact. Obama was not the worst nor the best. His worst attribute as a leader is he is afraid to actually do anything to really piss off the republicans. And the republicans dont like him because he is black but are to afraid to admit it. To prove my point why did you vote for McCain?
@mcclintocksherman1 I wasn't all that fond of McCain, and his VP though may actually be intelligent, comes across as being as dumb as a bag of hammers. Outside of that, I voted for McCain holding my nose for very few reasons. About the only real reason, is because Obama has never done anything executive in his life. All of his past ideas have been socialist, and he has now proven he is so incompetent, he couldn't run a garage sale.
That said, admittedly McCain wouldn't have been much better.

Both have made the lives of the poor in Texas hell. As an American I fear what is coming. Obama in for another is the best we can hope for.
@mcclintocksherman1 Newts comment on work is taken completely out of context. When I was young, I went to work at the earliest age legal, 15yo. I worked in a restaraunt washing dishes, mopping floors, and cleaning the bathrooms. I learned good work ethic, and the value of money when it's something YOU earned, not handed to you for nothing. As a result, I worked hard ever since. I am now an Engineer with a good career.
Most of my friends who were also poor, and didn't work.. are still poor.

My step mother is working for dollar tree. A min wage place. When she tried to help me get into another store, corperate sent her a memo saying no one is allowed to hire black men between the ages of 16-35. I cried when she showed it to me. Some kids dont want to work but it aint the poor
@mcclintocksherman1 If you're worried about how hard it is to get a job, and in your case perhaps unfairly, why would you be so against Newt saying that we should be giving these kids jobs, when they have nothing else?
If we can give those kids work, and a sense of pride in their schools, why is that such a bad thing?
As a poor kid, if I was offered a job to MAKE MONEY by working in my school, I would have jumped at the chance, saved my money for college, and loved every minute of it.
@PatriotCondor They can hire the parents to do that. I will be starting my own business with a friend of mine using what I learned IN SCHOOL!!! Poor kids have it bad enough. You get teased because you cant afford the best clothes or money to put up for school events. I remember my school took us on a field trip to a chinese place and while everyone else ate what they wanted, me and a friend got donated rice. My friend commited suicide in middle school from the teasing.

If Gingrich wants to help he should be trying to help adults to get those jobs. I would love to have that job that Newt is trying to give to my child. Let my children learn. @mcclintocksherman1 He's talking about part-time work for teens, not replacing their education. That's the most important thing...Education. They can work part- time and still get their education. At my age, I would not want a job as a janitor anymore. I worked hard, saved my money, served my country too, and became an engineer. And not only the poor kids work. Rich kids work too. Matter of fact most of my middle to upper class friends also had jobs. Only the Elite (like 1%) are that spoiled.

I was glad to find work, save my money, work hard, and STILL get a good education. You seem very bitter, and you need to worry about just getting over this anger of yours, because I can't help that. You need to look beyond this bitterness and look at what you can do to excel, and be the leader in your family.
@PatriotCondor I am not bitter and I see America for what it has become. I worked in high school for my family to eat. I miss out on most of the high school memories to put food on the table. When my children get there I will do whatever I must to make sure they can play sports, go to dances, or even be in a talent show. Bitter, no. But angry, yes. When the poor get blamed for the lack of jobs or called lazy because they have to settle for a minimum wage job, I have a right to be.
@mcclintocksherman1 You need to start looking elsewhere. I had to move out of state to find the kind of work I wanted. I had to work even harder to get some new training to complete the licensing requirements for what I wanted to do. As far as missing out goes... I don't feel like I missed out at all. I had lots of good friends, I worked to help my Dad pay bills. I even tried out for the gymnastics team, though I wasn't any good. Admittedly, I'm a much better engineer. haha
@mcclintocksherman1 I admit things are not easy right now. I do have a feeling it will pick up before the election. Probably even next month, after the new year, and the payroll tax cut gets signed into law. Think about it. You are doing what you need to do because you are better off than your parents were. You never got to do all that stuff. But, because you are able now, and we are better educated than both our forefathers, you will do well enough your kids will benefit.

Gingrich actually said in Iowa that he would like to send marshals to arrest judges that he felt were 'activists'. He feels the judicial branch should be eliminated. Out of all the asinine things newt has said in his lifetime, this takes the cake. It does make sense if your goal is a totalitarian government, which newt has helped to manifest.

If you think Bush spent alot of money by bailing out the banks, Obama did 10x worse by bailing out every company that probably should have gone bankrupt. Along with that, the billions that have been wasted on green technology companies, and has been wasted. He went along with extending the cuts further, knowing it would be economic disaster if he let the code go back to what Clinton killed us with in the 90's. So no, Obama has done literally nothing ot help this country.
The ONLY good thing Obama has done, is he authorize the permanent extinguishing of that slime-ball hiding out in Pakistan.

You need to read that bill, and the current tax code. Obama instituted virtually no new tax cuts for anyone. Almost all tax cuts were previously on the books and signed into law in 2000. They were to expire in 2010, but Obama extended them to prevent further econnomic collapse, which was needed. I am in the middle class, and my neighbors in the lower income bracket. We recieved NO ADDITIONAL tax cuts when Obama extended the original bill from 2000.

@mcclintocksherman1 I wasn't all that fond of McCain, and his VP though may actually be intelligent, comes across as being as dumb as a bag of hammers. Outside of that, I voted for McCain holding my nose for very few reasons. About the only real reason, is because Obama has never done anything executive in his life. All of his past ideas have been socialist, and he has now proven he is so incompetent, he couldn't run a garage sale.
That said, admittedly McCain wouldn't have been much better.

@mcclintocksherman1 Newts comment on work is taken completely out of context. When I was young, I went to work at the earliest age legal, 15yo. I worked in a restaraunt washing dishes, mopping floors, and cleaning the bathrooms. I learned good work ethic, and the value of money when it's something YOU earned, not handed to you for nothing. As a result, I worked hard ever since. I am now an Engineer with a good career.
Most of my friends who were also poor, and didn't work.. are still poor.

My step mother is working for dollar tree. A min wage place. You get teased because you cant afford the best clothes or money to put up for school events. I remember my school took us on a field trip to a chinese place and while everyone else ate what they wanted, me and a friend got donated rice. My friend commited suicide in middle school from the teasing.

At my age, I would not want a job as a janitor anymore. I worked hard, saved my money, served my country too, and became an engineer. And not only the poor kids work. Rich kids work too. Matter of fact most of my middle to upper class friends also had jobs. Only the Elite (like 1%) are that spoiled.

When my children get there I will do whatever I must to make sure they can play sports, go to dances, or even be in a talent show. Bitter, no. But angry, yes. When the poor get blamed for the lack of jobs or called lazy because they have to settle for a minimum wage job, I have a right to be.

I had to work even harder to get some new training to complete the licensing requirements for what I wanted to do. As far as missing out goes... I don't feel like I missed out at all. I had lots of good friends, I worked to help my Dad pay bills. I even tried out for the gymnastics team, though I wasn't any good. Admittedly, I'm a much better engineer. haha

If you did, and if you stopped watching Fox and other majorly Republican sources of info, you would know that it is mostly the Republicans in Congress that are holding back America. Obama wants the wealthy to pay more taxes, or their fair share. Listen to all the propaganda you want, or look up the facts. His measures keep getting rejected by Congress. @M1k4e its not that i dont agree with his foreign policy, its just when its regarding Iran. We cannot just simply stop supporting Israel and leave the middle east and hope that Iran is just going to idly sit back and do nothing. Iran is a theocracy hell bent on destroying Israel and its supporters. The fact that they are trying to make nuclear weapons poses an even greater need to support Israel and the fight against Iran.

I'm disappointed by the comments. Ron Paul is a shallow, dangerous old man who would hand WMDs to Iran. I don't know if he really has this much of a following or some one has multiple YouTube accounts and is wreaking havoc, but it's misguided either way. Everyone has a right to their opinion, don't spam it on another candidate's videos. There's no honor in that.
