Looks like a very similar kernel to Vista, and Vista's kernel sucks. I have looked at multiple other videos of Windows 7, and it all looks very pretty, but very cumbersome. A lot of common users would be intimidated by it.
You'd actually be surprised, I thought I would hate it yet, it's passed my expectations, it's quite a nice feature actually as it doesn't use up the toolbar anymore it's limited to a single icon aswell.
I do agree with you on that point. It has some very nice features. But an OS is not all about just features.
An ideal OS for the common end user is easy to understand/simple, convenient, and powerful. Windows 7 may be convenient, but it certantly isn't simple. Furthermore, I have not heard anything about how Microsoft is making it a more stable or more powerful OS for business users. That's why I believe that it is a very similar, "supped up" version of Vista.
I agree on that point, you have to remember though this isn't even beta 1 yet and already it's stable, fast boot time etc, so it's just a waiting game.
you're right, the code of kernel is more useful :). file system and memory management too. these things must be changed. when it's stable doesn't mean that it is better than Vista (XP)
