this mic came with a XLR to Jack and on my mixer i can still plug dynamic mics into line... its undesirable but still works.. if the mic came with an xlr to xlr if have used that
@jovanify what are you using it for, its a LIVE mic designed for spoken word items such as speeches ect. if you wanted a performance one the 58 in either PG or SM would be better
@DJDisgust sorry for the meddling (i don't know if i'm saying it right, this is not my native language, but i'm trying to explain myself)...the second voice on my group uses this pg48, i use the samson q7 tha is also a great cheap mic, in my country both cost the same around 50dlls...when we sing i hear the shure mic with a lire more volume or gain...but the samson has more middle and bass, both are almost the same but a like the samson Q7 a little more...greetings
@pilloman ok the sm 57 is an instrument mic, if your strapped for cash go for it of you can get at least a SM58 that would be better but if the backup vocals not allways there get this or a PG58
@Boomdoggles The SM 57 is also a GREAT vocal mic. Many artists use them. I have a pair of them and LOVE them. In fact, I'd suggest these over the SM58 just because they are not only great for vocals but they are in fact better than anything else for amps and instruments.
it realy depends on what you use it for, i use mine for speech and at a high gain lectern mic if you have a small budget and need some mics quick id get em but if you can spare it go for the SM58 or the BETA 58A
you plug the mic into a mic preamp channel.... not the LINE in.... you'd think someone with a huge-ass mixer would know that.

don't have the cash for much more than the pg58...i would obviously get the sm58 but i don't have that kind of money right now.
