  • well seeing that its not a 03-04 cobra explains why it was a fairly easy race for the Audi. I love all cars, but as a owner of a 03 cobra, 95 gt, and 00 v6 mustang i can say a lightly modded Terminator would have faired better in this circumstance

  • One of my good friends has a 770CHP b5 s4. Including the car that has only 80k miles and getting it to that high of a hp he spent less than 30k.

  • as much as I like American cars, your claim that no rice burner will ever compare to amercian is FALSE! I know this because I own all three =D 99 Mustang GT w/ a vortech super charger chip xpipe and side exhaust, a bone stock 02 S4 B5 (stock for now), and an S13 240SX Drift Car. I can tell you from experience that my mustang is lots of fun to drive, but it the least fun of the three and much less car. Check the R35 (jap); the most car for the money, and it pisses on nearly all super cars...

  • k04's can get upper 500hp range? I thought they were too small... Which is why I'm researching/thinking of stroking my 2.7 to a 3.0 and putting in two garrets gt28rs's... No K04 is getting much more than 480hp...

  • @03COBRAG3TBL0WN If he had an "aftermarket intercooler" then odds are that was an a4. the s4 has smics in most cases, a few have a huge dual core front mount that isn't that efficient, but i'm pretty sure that was an a4 you raced.

  • I'm sorry but the S2000 is an overprice POS. 240hp and like 150 for torque? Come on. My Stang on Eibach pro springs can hang with a ricer on twisties easy. Live axle doesnt mean a whole lot. Sure an S2000 can rev to 9000rpm but it has to in order to make any power.

    suspension is more about dampers and has little to do with springs... unless you have custom progressive springs with heavy spring rates.. which I doubt you do (eibach isn't progressive, iirc)

    Lowering a car makes it hand worse. the lower CG doesn't outweigh the fact that you've changed the geometry so the car no longer has correct camber. And live axle sucks balls. I'm sorry. it's for drag racing. grow up

I have taken close to a 90* turn at 40mph, and the car stuck through the turn. Live axles may be old school but they still do there job. BUt whatever you ricer just copy what you hear on TV

  • it's too bad that you want to be such an enthusiast but you know nothing about suspension. I don't care what you did when you were drunk that saturday night outside the bar. Lowering a car makes handling worse with control arm suspension unless you can adjust the camber back to normal. Camber angle greater than -1 degree decreases your contact patch. Do some research, you'll see what I'm talking about.

    Live axles = excessive body roll and tail-happy cars

  • the 98 cobra ran a high 13 at that time, and it actually has 277 rwhp, and the newer mustangs have a lot better heads on them which seriously makes a HUGE difference. and the 99-01 cobras were low to mid 13's and the 04 was mid 12's. but seriously, u have to seriously own a 96-98 mustang to understand how fucked up our heads are compared to the newer ones.

  • Twice the valves in the cylinder? 16 valve 4 cylinder and a 32 Valve 8 cylinder. That would be 4 valves per cylinder. And it is also making 240hp NA I wouldn't call that too shitty.
