You cant win a fight without training against the style you will fight. This guy trainned vs Sanda and studied the movements. He was aware of the opponent, no other way karate could win vs sanshou.
@BioBoosterSoldier It must have been a close split decision. Karate probably won because of landing more strikes. In Sanshou rules, the Sanda guy would have gotten better leverage and probably would have won for getting more points for throws/takedowns. It sucks that if you reach decision, technical speed punchers have a way better chance of getting the win than a power hitter who throws less, but hits harder. Sometimes, it's all about the points. Still, both fighters were excellent!!
Don't talk ignorance. Neither karate or sanda existed in 'ancient time'. There is no organisation on earth that allows pro fights with bare knuckles. Go back to watching jet li and other pretend fight performers.
@41312111 Really? Who holds the title? Under which Athletic Comission are they sanctioned? There may be thousands of illegal contests between low level amateurs (like Kimbo who was exposed as an amateur when he was destroyed in 10 seconds by an average pro half his size). If the bareknuckle illegals were good they would fight professionally with an organisation against real competitors for good money instead of in boatyards for peanuts against fat drunken nobodies.
@41312111 way to not answer answer ANY of the questions asked mate.
B) who says they WANT to fight? - YOU say they want to fight when you suggest there is some sort of professional bareknuckle circuit. Do you even understand what professional means? Illegal contests are not professional... pretty simple.
Thanks for your concern champ, but my hearts fine. cheers
Hey, I agree kind of. I don't believe you have to a be a pro on TV to be a good fighter. I would be willing to bet there's guys in the jungles of Thailand that would kill any sport fighter in the world... And no one will ever know about him, because he did not grow up in a big city with no chance of joining a gym or anything to be noticed, but he trains Muay Thai all his life in his village. TONS of people like that. Plus Kimbo accepted, he was no pro, and he trained. He's pretty cool
