The people in this doc are Glaswegian, their accents are very melodic but there are literally hundreds of different accents/dialects in Scotland, if you drive 25 miles North their accent is completely different. I would not say we are ethnic & we are British. I class myself as British and my country is the United Kingdom. I don't know what ethnicity you are but

The producers probably sent a second unit crew out when it was warmer and people could swimm, then in post production the editor added filters to make the footage look vintage. Voila! I haz the answer... When he was younger he probably either seen or heard about this place and details via tv or any other way. And he remembers it because it corresponds with something that was dramatic that had happened. Easy explaination, it acually happened to me when I was younger.
